Anastasia Eyeshadow

Anastasia Sateen Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a light-medium, golden peach with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had good pigmentation with a soft, lightly dusty consistency that was very blendable without fall out, despite being a smidgen on the drier side. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably on me. Smashbox Crisp (PiP, ) is lighter (95% similar). Colour Pop Sunset Blvd. (LE, $5.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Anastasia 10K Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a muted, medium gold with brown tones and a frosted sheen. It had semi-sheer color payoff with a thin, dusty texture that tended to sheer out when applied without a primer or base for it to latch onto. It was very blendable, but again, it would always sheer out and getting true-to-pan color was difficult. On me, it lasted for six and a half hours before fading. Tom Ford Beauty Young Adonis (Eye Color) (LE, ) is more shimmery (90% similar). Cle de Peau Golden Lace #4 (LE, ) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Beaded (LE, $17.00) is darker (85% similar). Too Faced Bananas (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Anastasia Yacht (LE, $12.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). MAC Vicuna (LE, $17.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Viseart Montaigne (PiP, ) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). Chanel Oiseaux de Nuit #5 (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). Anastasia Blazing Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark, coppery brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color payoff with a silky-smooth, blendable texture that wasn’t too firm or too soft in the pan. The color started to fade slightly after eight hours of wear. Makeup Geek Sidekick (P, $6.00) is lighter (95% similar). Chanel Candeur et Experience #3 (PiP, ) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Make Up For Ever M738 Auburn (DC, $21.00) is lighter (90% similar). Viseart Siren #5 (PiP, ) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Anastasia Sienna (P, $12.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Make Up For Ever M738 Auburn (P, $17.00) is brighter (85% similar). Kat Von D Wrath (DC, ) is warmer (85% similar). Urban Decay Daybreak (Beached) (LE, $19.00) is lighter, brighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Anastasia Comfort Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium-dark bronzy brown with warm, coppery undertones and a frosted finish. It had fantastic pigmentation with opaque, even coverage that diffused easily and adhered well to bare skin. On me, the color started to fade after eight hours of wear. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Anastasia Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.06 oz.) is supPosed to be a “finely-milled, highly-pigmented” powder eyeshadow. The brand has a large range of individual eyeshadows that are available as pan-only (no compact to hold them); if you purchase four, you’ll get a 4-well plastic palette for $40 ($10 per eyeshadow), or purchase eight and get an 8-well cardboard palette for $70 ($8.75 per eyeshadow) (the 8-pan is only available directly from the brand). On average, the formula is semi-opaque to opaque, lightly dusty to buttery, wears seven to nine hours, and is fairly blendable. The Metallic and Titanium finishes seem to be the best-performing to me, but there are some really standout mattes and shimmers as well. I find the more recently released shades to be better-performing compared to Anastasia eyeshadows I tried two or three years ago. The wear varies between six and eight hours with decent to good application over bare skin (no primer).

Between the 4 shades I pick up in store and reviews I’ve seen. Anastasia’s natural/daytime appricate shades seem to really kick ass.

The colorful shades I try out in store didn’t really have good or even decent colour payoff…

Ooh I like Blazing the most, and I don’t have any of the dupes! I think it’ll be great for a simple summertime eye look for me.
I’m also digging this eye look Christine!

I love this eye look! I have dupes for these shades thankfully. But, I love the way you do your eyes! I’m so happy you have not jumped on the Instagram band wagon so I don’t feel like I have to wear a full on cat eye every moment of my life! lol. Props to those that can get that done. But, I’m not one of them. This look is so summery and boho to me. I screened shot it! Lol! Xo

Even with one not-so-great shade , 10K, these still come together quite beautifully in your eye look! These are definitely my kind of shades, therefore dupes up the wazoo, here. Hadn’t thought to use MAC Brown Script with Sable, and perhaps CP Supermodel and something peachy from BH Foil Eyes….until now!

Christine, I wonder, have you written or plan on writing a post about the refillable palette by itself? I’m just curious about the dimensions, if the “face” is removable, how it stands to a drop test, etc.
