Anastasia Party Pink Liquid Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches

Anastasia Party Pink Liquid Lipstick
Anastasia Party Pink Liquid Lipstick

Anastasia Party Pink Liquid Lipstick ($20.00 for 0.11 fl. oz.) is described as a “vivid blue pink.” It’s a neon magenta pink with cool, blue undertones and a matte finish. Kat Von D Backstage Bambi (P, $19.00) is darker. Kat Von D Backstage Bambi (P, $21.00) is darker. Melt Cosmetics Stupid Love (P, $19.00) is cooler-toned. Chanel La Diva (44) (P, $34.00) is more muted, less matte. MAC Candy Yum Yum (P, $16.00) is less matte, slightly darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

It was nicely pigmented and applied with smooth, even color coverage. The texture is thin, but it dries down nicely after about forty-five seconds. It’s important to keep your lips from touching while it is drying down, as it goes from watery to tacky as it dries down, and once fully dry, then it is mostly transfer-free. I noticed that it looked dry/flaky on the very inner portion of my lips (the edge right before it’s actually inside your mouth), so the formula can be unforgiving there. It lasted well for six hours, but it started to fade more noticeably from the center after that. It was somewhat drying over time, unfortunately.

Do you feel like over time, these look drying more and more and like if you move your mouth?. Most of the ones I have tried, particularly lighter, brighter shades may be ok initially. But then, about an hour in if I look in the mirror, my lips look pretty krinkly even with a thin balm under . I take pretty good care of my lips and do not consider them dry even in the harsh weather we have had. I have never smoked. My age may be the issue here…39 Monday (eek!) I am just feeling like they draw attention to every single line in my lips which gets worse as time goes on.These may just not be for me. I may just be better off to stick with old fashioned lip primer, pencil, and a nice semi-matte to matte regular lipstick. Those are easier to touch up I am discovering as well. These have to be completely removed and reapplied. I get you on the inner mouth wear. I feel like it is like putting that kids peel on nail polish on your lips. it kind of has that peely look.

Thank you! I did try this one for a couple hours this afternoon..it’s not as bad, I agree as far as sitting in your lip lines. I suppose it is the dryness that i am seeing as I talk, drink, etc.that makes my lips look crinkly. I just am so on the fence with these… send the whole bunch back that they will accept? keep a few that are good? or keep more because I like the shades and hope as the weather changes here, I can wear them? This one wasn’t bad..but, if I could have tried it in store prior, I wouldn’t have gotten it. I seem to hit a wall at around 4 hours and I can’t stand the texture and must get them off, lol! Christine, if you were a consumer, would you buy these knowing what you know of them now? Also, I am making my bday wish list..what is your all-time favorite luxury lipstick type and shade? Sorry, I comment to much! I just truly value your opinion because you are honest and I like your style.

I wonder how they all compare. Lovely is just that – lovely. I was really impressed at the lack of lines in my lipsactually- since that is always a problem with mattes on me. I do think the thinner you lay it the better it is – since it’s so pigmented it only needs a swipe and hardly any product. I also like these better with a lipliner. I am able to reapply without removing.

That is further nailing my decision to return at least the light and bright colors and hit up a Mac counter and check out there bright matte lipsticks.I love the colors, but the texture..too dry. 🙂

Have you tried any of the Ellis Faas Hot Lips? I have L404 Fluo Pink and it is really bright! They are quite like the Too Faced Melted liquid lipsticks. I know some people have had issues with the formula like bleeding round the edges of the mouth but even with my picky lips it’s worked well for me. You should give them a go!

I own nothing else from the brand but I’d love to see some reviews, although I know that you must be so busy without someone trying to ask for more. I just thought that I would mention it since this post brought it to mind. 🙂

Would you please tell me the eyeliner you are using here? Was this the same liner you used in the pic of the shaaanxo shadows? Just gorgeous! I don’t think it was mentioned. Thank you!

This scared me. I had to look diligently to find Christine! When I did, I felt like the honest friend that whips out a wipe and goes, ” oh, no no no no no, honey. That’s uh, awful, sweetie! Here, take it off.” Garish electro candy yuck yuck! You’re too pretty for that! And the texture makes is worse! This sure shows of the real beauty beyond the lush lips of Christine! Way to go, gorgeous face! 🙂

They are $20.00 not 21 🙂 I really love these! I don’t have this color, but I may need it … Anything I can wear and know it will stay put and look good without me having to look in the mirror every 5 seconds is a plus in my book. I particularly like these when I am so busy I will be forgetting to check my face 🙂 I haven’t been let down yet.

I love this color! It’s eye popping! But I’m way disappointed in the two anastasias I purchased (potion and vamp). They’re not true to their swatch chart and they are finicky as all get out. I wish they were better because I’d totally buy this shade!
