MAC Riot Gear Nail Lacquer ($16.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is described as a “bright true orange [with a cream finish].” It’s a tangerine orange with warm, yellowy undertones and a cream finish. Dior Mango is brighter, while China Glaze Orange You Hot? is brighter and has faint shimmer. Zoya Arizona is very similar. Sinful Cloud 9 is brighter and shimmery. China Glaze Papaya Punch is darker.

Riot Gear was only somewhat streaky on the first initial coat, but a second coat evened it out and covered any of the remaining streaks from the first coat.  It was the best of the four MAC polishes I swatched yesterday.  It was very nearly opaque after two coats, but at certain angles and when there was more light, there was a hint of visible nail line.  The consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin, so it applied without pooling along the edges.  I usually get a week of wear out of MAC’s polishes with minor tip wear but no chipping.

I love these Mac & Cheese colors, but I feel like this might be similar to Zoya Sharon, which I already have. At least Riot Gear didn’t have a disaster formula like the other MAC polishes! Thanks for sharing.

Such a pretty color! Did it dry fast? Sometimes I find that yellow and/or yellow-based colors take such a long time to dry! Have you ever encountered this issue with any of the nail polishes you tested, Christine?

This is gorgeous and I’m a Hayley Williams fan. However, I already have Zoya Arizona, so I think I’ll pick up the Daydreamer Eyeshadow instead
