Chanel Duo Lumiere Highlighter Review & Swatches
Duo Lumiere
Chanel Duo Lumiere Illuminating Powder Duo ($70.00 for 0.26 oz.) includes a peachy champagne and a lighter, champagne gold that combine to create a soft, golden peach with flecks of gold sparkle throughout. It had more of a translucent base, so it will definitely take on the depth and tone of one’s natural coloring more than some highlighters. It did have a more “glittery” finish, which I know some love and others steer clear of.
- Semi-sheer to medium, buildable pigmentation
- Smooth, finely-milled, lightly emollient; no powderiness
- Applied evenly and blended out well
- Long-wearing (8.5 hours before fading)

Even though it’s super pretty worn, I don’t need it. For one thing, I already have an entire palette of glittery highlighters by ABH from many years ago that I don’t even use anymore.
I wasn’t sure about this highlighter and don’t have a real need for another highlighter but I must say, I really like the way it looks on you, Christine. I will try and see it when I get to Denver and then make a decision. I really, really want to get a couple of holiday products but brands aren’t making it easy on me by releasing stellar products, with a holiday vibe and more unique. I guess it is too tall an order for them this year.
Sorry for the extra comment, I meant to mention that part of the reason that I am rethinking this is that I had anticipated this being a more taupe color as it was described by several YT’ers that I watch and if that was the case, I wasn’t interested as I knew that would not be attractive on my skin tone. Seeing that it looks more peach/golden makes it more attractive to me.
It’s a lovely colour, but I do agree with you – some will love the finish and others will not.
I bought this and love it along with the symboled of Chanel. Quite different textures and I love both. This highlight is so pretty I adore the pinkish/nude color and I don’t mind the sparkly ‘wet look ‘ of the white part. Of course one could use either or and of course blend both.
Quite a splurge but my favorite of the holiday season.
