Each has a shadow or two that I like but the two California palettes are just too pinky for me (though I love Carmel Beach) and the other one just looks “jaundice inducing” for my skin tone though I like Escape, Rustic and Light My World. I like them so much that I probably have dupes (fingers crossed).

I will purchase all three as soon as they are available. I wish SG would release them all at once since the different days complicate things for me but I’ve worked around it for past sales.

I’m guilty of buying both light and deep versions for all SG releases in the past, including Temptalia’s, so the California Coast palettes are a definite — and I love the color story. I do have the Mountain Trail bundle but since I prefer the pre-made palette format, I want to get that one, too. I’ve cut back my makeup purchases significantly, and SG is one of the few brands still on my radar, so I can rationalize this haul.

Yeah, same for me on pre-made palettes (I sometimes hit a creative block with my singles collection unless I get inspired by something specifically to assemble them in a palette format) but I’m trying to resist buying MT again since I actually have the bundle in a 9-pan magnetic palette and I placed them in there the same way as they were depicted on the website back then.

I’ve managed to get both light and deep of only one SG palette so far (a Temptalia one), but it’s always been SO difficult holding back. I totally understand getting both! I’m pretty likely to get the other version of one or both of the other two Temptalia palettes I got last summer this time. I with they would release the ones that aren’t duplicated between deep and light palette versions as singles!

I missed Mountain Trail when it was available as a bundle, so I’m _super_ excited to get it now! I’m extra excited to finally get Back Woods! Not sure about the California palette. I don’t have anything similar to the three rosy-coppery shimmers, which surpised me, but I’m not feeling drawn to it.

Doesn’t Mountain Trail look like me in palette form? I mean, you all know me and my love of green colors! This one is going to be mine if it reviews satisfactorily and I assume it will given the usual quality of SG eye shadows. The other two are really pretty but those colors have been done a lot so I am covered.

These do look quite pretty, even though there are a few shades in each that are not quite for me – but you can’t have everything!
As much as I do love the olivey tones of Light, I think I would get more ‘use’ out of deep – ignoring the perennial matte black shade!

Pretty but I don’t wear greens or rosy tones so I’ll be skipping both. I will definitely pick up a mystery bag if they do a cool toned option again, which they usually do, and I’ve added a bunch of shadows to my Wishlist, both new and repurchases, that I plan to get.

I wanted to add that I think the Sydney Grace formula is the best out there currently. I paired Dearest Reader (Temptalia’s shade, on my lid) with a few Colourpop singles (and I love Colourpop) and I was startled by the stark difference in performance, opacity and texture—like I could I was wearer a much higher quality shadow against the backdrop of not.

I am getting the Light California Coast. It reminds me of the Raspberry Kiss bundle and that is my all time favorite bundle of theirs. This is a must buy for me.
