Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Velvet Edition Palettes for Summer 2022
Release Date + About the Launch
In 1993, Dior unveiled the first velvet edition of the iconic 5 Couleurs eyeshadow palette. To celebrate its love story with this texture, the 5 Couleurs Couture palette is once again dressed in a velvety cloak. Its soft, matte case reveals voluptuous powders that dress the eyes in the utmost couture makeup.
The eyeshadows’ fine and creamy powder texture is infused for the first time with cornflower extract. Each sensorial eyeshadow instantly bathes the eyelid in intense, longwearing color with a no-makeup feel.
Designed by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, each of the 5 Couleurs Couture limited-edition palettes features eyeshadows with velvety finishes, from the most matte to the most satiny, in artfully orchestrated shade ranges.

These must be US only as like the last ones you reviewed Christine they never appeared on the Dior UK website. Not fair.
They just launched here so hopefully they launch in the UK soon!
Except for the middle shade on the blue palette there is nothing here that catches my eye and all the other palettes are just way too warm and orange-y for my taste. Easy to pass on these.
Considering that I’m not seeing anything shade-wise that I don’t already have, I probably won’t be getting any of these new offerings unless they review better than they appear.
The velvet texture, which is quite lovely, has been around a while; I have a couple of singles in it. These quints’ colour stories seem very reminiscent of the previous major quints re-release, with the only apparent difference being the use of the velvet texture throughout. An unnecessary repetition of previous offerings for summer, but then, aren’t they all?
I don’t know if I’ll buy any, but Blue Velvet looks stunning!
