Sol Body Wild Orchid Shimmering Body Powder Review & Swatches
Wild Orchid
Sol Body Wild Orchid Shimmering Body Powder ($10.00 for 0.35 oz.) has a rich lavender base with warmer, gold shimmer throughout. It had mostly opaque color coverage, which could be dialed down using a lighter hand or intensified by using a fingertip to apply the product.
While it was a “body powder,” it felt almost cream-powder in feel to me, but it definitely felt and performed like a powder once I picked it up with a brush and applied it to my cheeks. The product applied evenly and blended out well, and it did seem more prone to sheering out, which made it a little more in line with the description (“wash”) but still more pigmented than marketed. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Oh yes, I’m getting this to use as a blush! Honestly, I’m not sure why it’s labeled as a body powder? I don’t know of anyone who wants bright lavender shoulders or collarbones, LOL.
This looks so pretty as a blush. I’ve been searching for a good lavender/ purple blush. A lot of them are too cool toned for me but this color looks perfect. I think I’ll pick this up soon.
I think I included this in my CP order. I hope I did. It’s really pretty, I’m glad it sheers out as I think a wash of this will look lovely as a blush during winter.
As for using this on the body, it wouldn’t work for me, but I can imagine it being gorgeous on darker skin. I don’t tan and even back when tanning was a thing I loved doing it would have been wrong.
