ColourPop x Hello Kitty Aloha Honey Blush Review & Swatches
Aloha Honey
ColourPop Aloha Honey Pressed Powder Blush ($8.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a vivid, medium-dark coral with moderate, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It was fairly matte, but it seemed to be more “natural matte” once applied and blended out as it never appeared flat.
The texture was soft, silky, and somewhat powdery, so I’d recommend using a lighter hand when picking up product to avoid over-application and/or excess powder getting all over the compact. It had mostly opaque, buildable color coverage that stayed on well for nine hours before fading visibly.

The formula is supposed to go on "smoothly" and have a "natural and healthy flush" that has "long wear" and "can be layered to your desired intensity." It is a lightly to moderately powdery powder blush with semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable color payoff. The consistency has a drier, thinner feel and though it feels silky to the touch, I found it the type of powder blush can be tricky to blend out evenly on the skin, depending on one's skin type or base preferences. The drier the skin/base, the better the formula would blend, but any natural oils or slip caused the blush to go on unevenly and was difficult to blend out. The wear was between seven and eight hours on me on average.

Wow, that’s even more bold than I thought it would be. Pretty, though.
Gorgeous color! It looks on you the way Nars Fetishised looks like on me. So I’m guessing that this probably isn’t something I need.
Thank you, Nancy! 🙂
I really wanted this one and the pink blush from this collection but I have so many blushes. Both blushes are so pretty in the Hello Kitty, lol
This is a pretty good blush from CP and the shade and finish look flattering on your cheeks Christine.
Thanks a lot, Genevieve!
This is ridiculously cute – and it looks great on you!
I am seriously tempted by it’s fruity summery goodness even though it is winter here, LOL.
Thank you, CeeBee!
Do you find that you change what colors you reach for throughout different seasons? I was thinking about launches and seasonality recently, which got me thinking about how releases are typically based on the northern hemisphere and it’s always the opposite season in the southern hemisphere!
Well, I went and ordered these (& the lip balm trio, love the yellow packaging on those!) after seeing your review so nah, I don’t tend to buy or use makeup in a traditional or typical seasonal sense, like pastels for spring or bronze and teal for summer… I am a bit of a peacock though, so I tend to wear quite vibrant patterns and colours year round and I definitely like to pick an accent colour for a bold lip or eyeliner on occasion!
I have matched my eyeliner to my glittery purple Converse hightops today, LOL. No one will notice and I don’t even care 😉
I hear ya! I feel like sometimes the season inspires me – but that might be “oh my god, it’s so dreary outside, give me COLOR!” or “yes, summer, let’s go tropical!”
