If you had to wear only one highlighter forever, what would it be?
MAC Fairly Precious if I had to choose… it would be so hard to choose, but this is one of those go-to, everyday wearable shades that adds warmth, a touch of color, and shine and goes with a lot of other products. It can be amped up by using it damp or with a fingertip.
I’d say Becca Moonstone but since they are going out of business, I’ll say MAC Double Gleam or Lightscapade
I WAS GONNA SAY BECCA MOONSTONE, TOO!
I’m just heartbroken, that highlighter is SO good.
Basic, but Becca’s Champagne Pop. It just looks so nice on my skin, with just enough sparkle. It’s my day-to-day go-to; when in doubt, I use Champagne Pop.
So sad Becca’s gone. But they aren’t the inventors of a glittery champagne highlight, so I’ll find dupes aplenty.
I have one highlighter I wear more than all the others in my considerable stash and it’s part of the Natasha Denona Bronze cheek face glow palette – super glow nude. Wearing it with super glow bronze as a blush on top of bronzer is tdf.
I use Mac Fairly Precious Extra Dimension blush as a highlighter.
Becca Moonstone, which will disappear soon. Sigh
I love Benefit Cookie, but I’m not sure it would be as good in the summer when I have more colour.
I think, based on the one I love the most, but don’t wear often enough but it does glitter a bit is ND’s Diamond (from he mini diamond & glow and Darya palette because it’s easy to put atop anything, and leaves a beautiful wet glassy sheen.
Just thinking about it makes me want to go put it on 🙂
Hourglass Diffused Light is my absolute favourite highlighter of all time. The yellow tint to it makes it really special.
Either Becca Berlin Girl Glow (top choice), or Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Highlighter! The Becca is a limited edition that I’m pretty sure is no longer available, but it’s just so pretty. Definitely stronger, but very smooth in texture, and it’s easy to apply lighter or heavier for different looks. The color is perfect for me too. If I had to choose something permanent, then the Laura Mercier because it’s very smooth and soft in texture, and it’s a subtler glow.
Oooh tough! Becca liquid highlight in Pearl. I always reach for a cream/liquid highlight, unless sunscreen has made my face so wet and sticky that I *need* to tamp it down with a powder highlight. I’m super fair and Pearl is one of the ultra rare highlights that is just LIGHT and not colored in anyway.
My very fave is Wet ‘n Wild “Blossom Glow,” followed by Ofra “Glazed Donut”.
Wow this is like asking a mother to choose her favorite child! I agree fairly precious is very very special. Mac highlighters and Dior are at the top imo.
But prolly Aether Beauty Diamond dust is a good all rounder that goes with everything. I love the wet look it imparts.
I’m not a big fan of highlighters, I could easily live without one. But if it were only just one, I would go more for an illuminating shaping/sculpting powder like MAC Emphasize; I don’t like too much shine and sparkle, and it offers the perfect amount of almost unnoticeable shine.
Unfortunately I recently noticed that MAC discontinued the Sculpting and Shaping powders, most of them are out of stock, the remaining in the “Goodbye” section.
Maybe they’re just “reformulating”…? The range has always been a popular one, so I can’t imagine they’d get rid of it altogether…
First of all, how dare you, Christine? 😂
I have too many highlighters that I love for very different reasons. But I think if I had to, I would choose the Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlight in Kitten. It can be subtle or blinding and never emphasizes texture on me and it just melts into my skin. I really love it and when I don’t use it for a while I always come back to it.
This one is EASY: ABH Amrezy! It never fails me. Works with warm, cool, and neutral blushes. Works during all seasons (wait…do we even have seasons here?)
Either one by Dior Skin something ..or
By Terry dual Compact powder which I rediscovered and really like right now.
Jouer Molten All Over Glow Highlighter but that is just one of my babies.
It’s hard for me to say because I am not a highlighter wearer, but some of the ones from Becca – like Moonstone would be my favourite if I did.
Love the Pat McGrath OG trio highlighters.. my favorite in the trio is he bronze color… I wish she would make it in a huge pan… so I am on my 2nd purchase, next most used is MAC show gold.. I have bought it several times.
City Color Cosmetics Intense Exposure Highlighting Powder. It’s discontinued, but I have backups. It’s a white shimmery, glowy shade, so it’s a neutral shade for my pale skin and goes with any look. It’s not disco ball intense or sparkly, and it’s very smooth, so I think it will play nice as my skin ages. If I want more “out there” colors and finishes, I have plenty of loose pigments and eyeshadows that I can use.
Really tough! Probably a liquid highlighter so I have the versitility to mix with other products. I like the one from Josie maran or Chanel Les beiges.
LA BOUCHE ROUGE PARIS La Lumière for me.
Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette. I like to swirl my brush across all four shades when I use it. It’s magical and I absolutely love it!
Laura Mercier Matte highlighter 01. For me, its perfection.
