Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Lipstick Swatches x15
Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Lipstick ($23.00 for 0.12 oz.) was reformulated and relaunched last year with 60 (!) shades. I purchased a good many of the shades last year, but I’m not sure on the timeline for getting them all done, so I thought I’d try to photograph and swatch some shades now and review as I have “gaps” between other releases, then do another round, etc.
I am very curious about the reformulation. I loved the previous formula, so hoping these will be just as good. The one thing I do hope changes is the last version seemed to be quite thick (at least on the few shades I owned). I look forward to hearing your thoughts on them whenever you find a chance 🙂
I thought it looked like some of these swatches applied on the think side.
There are some really gorgeous colors here, but I hate the packaging… Why does one need that handle type cap on a lipstick?
I haven’t forgiven them for reformulating the eyeshadows yet! And I’m sure many readers haven’t either!

No, I don’t think I will forgive them for making a reformulation from the lovely e/s they had to the not so good new ones.
That said I like some of the lipsticks and hope I have dupes, if not I may just get one. Or two.
Darling Mulberry just hit my eye like a pie! I love that shade!
I also am partial towards Sassy Rhubarb and Cool Papaya. But they all look very solid in the quality department!

Darling Mulberry is the one I’d grab to swatch if I saw these “live”. Sassy Rhubarb would be a perfect every day one, Coop Papaya isn’t for me, but the colour is gorgeous.
I so hope I have dupes this low to no buy year.

Lipsticks! Yay! – these look fairly pigmented and such vibrant shades. I am drawn to Chic Brick and Striking Spice as lippies that would work for me.
They look very nice ! However lipsticks are another of those products that I just don’t purchase much. Like blushes and even more so highlighters. And a good thing, I have too makeup as it is . 😉

Hm…I’m seeing a lot of pink and no beigey/sandy nudes. Guess I’ll be passing on these. The last thing I need is another pink.
