AHHHHHHH, is it just me, or is anyone else getting heavy Antiquitease vibes from this collection? Maybe not all of the same colors, but the warm grey palette reminds me of Sweet Sienna.

I haven’t been interested in anything Colourpop has put out in a while, but I like this collection a lot! Finally some nice dark fall vibes! I also feel like some of these colors, particularly in Baroque, are missing from their pressed powder eyeshadow line.

Ash Avatar

I haven’t ordered from Colourpop in loooong time, but somehow Grandeur and Ornate spoke to me today. I had leave Baroque alone, she is a little too cool for my skin tone. The design of the packaging is lovely, and this is a great fall mood collection.

This looks very nice. I’ll pass on the eyeshadow palettes only because I’m past the saturation point on eyeshadows right now and need to ease up on that.

I do like the blushes and the lux lipstick is my favorite formula of theirs. It’s a shame these weren’t available yesterday when The Child palette was available (which I did buy) because I would have gotten L’Auberge and Fatale and probably all three blushes, but definitely Vogue and Chaise for sure as blind buys. As it is, I’m not placing orders two days in a row, so I can wait for reviews and maybe I’ll pick them up later (or probably not because once the shiny newness wears off I can usually talk myself out of stuff if I just wait a week or two).

Even though my eye is immediately drawn to Baroque, I best remind myself of the disastrous choice I made buying UD Naked Smoky….it sits unused for at least a year. I absolutely LOVE a cool-toned intensely smokey eye, but these shades can give my eyes a strange”dead” look. I’m not sure why, but their beautiful blue-green with some flecks of gold turns murky and blah.

I loved UD Naked Smoky, greys (especially slate or with a hint of blue), grey looks… but I find that Baroque missed the mark on being purely grey. I feel like the other 3 shades were thrown in because they couldn’t find other 3 greys more different from the other 6.

I’m still curious how different the 4 darker greys look once swatched.

I have a charcoal grey ring around my outer iris and so I actually like grey shadows, but they cannot be too deep. (Biba palette has a really awesome ā€˜light’ grey which looks amazing on me, brings depth to my eye without weighing it down. I’m so with you on the ā€˜dead’ look. I just cannot wear darker shadows like I used to.. my shoegazer not quite goth days are over. That said, I do however, like to take those deeper greys and use them as a base for layering. You can get some really interesting shades by pressing brighter or very light colours over greys.

Pretty color stories and love the theme… but the one I really like the looks of and don’t have a palette quite like is Baroque and that contains four “pinpoint” aka matte with dang glitter in it. Grandeur is really pretty too, but alas it has those pinpoint sparkles as well as a pressed glitter. I wish CP would just go back to the satins, pearls, mattes, and metallic (and toss in a super shock or from time to time) in their palettes. The blushes look pretty.

Wow – for a mere $14, those palettes look great. I like the ones on the left and the right – the middle one is more warm and red than I prefer (says the woman who just bought Anastasia Rosette!). The pink blush is nice – the flower design on it is lovely – bit it’s not getting my pulse racing.

Emily Avatar

I am undecided on Baroque. I’ve been looking for a slate gray shadow and this sounds like it will fit the bill but swatches I’ve seen so far have been underwhelming. I’ll wait for you (the expert) to weigh in on the subject!

This collection is in the Ulta catalogue I received in the mail this week. I’m assuming it will be available 11/1 at Ulta since the catalogue dates are listed as 11/1 – 11/21. I was waiting to order it from Ulta to get points but they only show the palettes in the flyer not the whole collection so it was nice to see everything here.

Mags Avatar

This collection looks very pretty but would love to see in person. I believe it’s going to Ulta as I remember seeing it in their holiday mailer.

Genevieve Avatar

Trust Colour Pop to bring out not one, but three palettes for the holiday season! I like the look of these palettes, with darker, more muted shades than the pastels we have been seeing recently.
And the way CP is at the moment, I hope the brand has the formula right – no PET glitter and woeful shimmer shades.
But NO lipsticks! CP – you are breaking my heart as I love your lipsticks.
