Chanel Wild Rose Glossimer Review & Swatches

Chanel Wild Rose Glossimer ($26.00) is the perfect color if you’ve been looking for a gloss that just subtly enhances your natural lip color by adding a slicked pinked blush and just-barely-visible shimmer to reflect light.

When I first swatched Wild Rose, it looked absolutely gorgeous and lush on the back of my hand. It also looked way more pigmented, so when I actually went to use it… it was not what I was expecting. My immediate reaction was “return, stat!” but since I don’t go to the mall too often, it’s still in my possession. After wearing it a few times, I’ve decided that it makes a nice go-to gloss for everyday wear aka when I’m too lazy to wear any makeup. I just brush this on and my lips look more alive, and my face is a bit brighter.

I like my-lips-but-better (MLBB) colors from time to time, and I do think everyone should have at least one gloss and one lipstick that fits the MLBB criteria. They are colors that will never go out of style, date you, make you look older or younger… they are natural and sophisticated. Exactly what we all need every once in awhile! 🙂

I also like MLBB colors every once in a while…I used to keep the “no makeup” makeup in my purse – for days when I wasn’t wearing any but needed a pick me up. That stash consisted of: a concealer pencil, powder, Nars Blush in Orgasm, mascara, and a tube of my MLBB gloss MAC Lipglass in Viva Glam V. Sometimes, I’d throw on only the gloss…you know, so it looked like I did SOMETHING! 🙂

i am different from you as i prefer more MLBB type colors. if i even put something on my lips.

I just dont like the feeling, so i typically apply something on my lips when i first do them, but dont reapply. I have very unpigmented lips, so i think im just used to my lips looking plain lol.

so i really like this color!!!!

$23.00 seriously…>? I like the swatch, color, and everything except the price. Even if you are collector it’s still a waste. Why not pick a better color? Or for MLBB buy drugstore or one of the many Mac glasses that Mac releases that all look the same.

I love Chanel, I’m going to go broke. I just bought a Chanel wallet for myself a couple weeks ago and now I want this! so tempting 🙂

I bought it as a gloss version to my ALLURE Lipstick Incognito, also a YLBB version.

I have dark big eyes and a big mouth, so I love YLBB with darker eye-make-up.

The colour is subtle, fresh and young without beeing girlish.
