19 More Eyeshadow Color Combinations to Discover
Nothing improves my mood like playing with color combinations! I needed a little pick-me-up this morning, and here’s what came out of my brain 🙂 May you enjoy, get inspired, and have a tremendous day!
About This Series
Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the “core” color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.
You might see combinations that seem slightly repeated but placement will vary (e.g. a halo placement where the lightest and more shimmery shade is placed on the center) as placement can also create a different effect/look! You might also want to consider incorporating your favorite matte/shimmer shades (as applicable) to increase the versatility of certain palettes. Consider these ideas a jumping off point!

My favorites here: Forest of freedom, Breadth of love and A flower in winter. Love these colorful combos! I decided in my 40s to come back to more colorful looks after some 15 years and this is very helpful!
My favorites are Morning Blossom, Waves of Blue and Deep Dreams. I turned 50 last fall and I have stepped out of my comfort zone. I’m totally enamored with blues and greens and deeper shades that in the past, I never would have considered using for anything but eyeliner.
I really wish I had picked up some Sydney Grace singles to try. I put off making my final choices and I missed the end of the sale. I wasn’t all that interested in the Autumn Reign palette, but seeing those four shadows together makes me rethink that decision.
Autumn’s Reign is really nice – one of my favorite palettes. I also feel it does a good job representing the brand’s eyeshadow quality, too 🙂
