Smokey Soiree looks so good! I’ll have to check this out.
Both seem to have rich pigmentation and very interesting shade choices that just work. Cutting Edge sort of makes me think of ND Mini Gold Palette. But, Smokey Soiree is actually very unique looking! That’s one I could see myself using.
These honestly both look like winners.
Cutting-edge looks nice and somewhat different, but since I know I have these colors, I’ll leave it alone.
I wanted these before, but with these swatches now I really want them!! I was gonna wait for it to come to Ulta, but I might not be able to wait because these shades are right up my alley!
How gorgeous are these little cherubs? Both of them look pretty good from the swatches. I have a fatal attraction for olive greens and gold.
Both palettes look really pretty. The swatches look really good. That being said, I am pretty sure that I have dupes for all of these shadows.
Smoky looks like the perfect holiday palette. It actually reminds me a lot of that one WnW holiday palette (Night Elf) from a looooong time ago that had the red shade in it that everyone went gaga for. Mine turned and I had to toss it, so maybe Smoky would be a good successor. Cutting Edge is right up my alley, but I might have dupes.
Seeing the swatches really shows how dupeable these are and really stops me from salivating after the smoky one. Time to shop my stash.
Both of these are really beautiful, and very tempting!
Cutting Edge… Oh boy. It’s REALLY similar to the ND Mini Gold, so it’s not a need for now, but since I know I’ll eventually pan the shades in that tiny palette and that this is a permanent release… I’m so, so attracted to that color story. Unlike Mini Gold, there’s not that one shade I don’t really wear, so whenever I’m out of my olive greens I will probably pick this up if it gets good reviews. Swatches look amazing, even if the green shimmer seems more like a sparkly satin than a straight up metallic.
Smokey Soiree is not my style but I gotta give credit to the color story where it’s due. If Dose of Colors keeps making such interesting color stories they definitely have my attention! I still see people regularly talking about the Friendcation palette, so their formula seems pretty solid. It’s certainly endured the test of time.
