What do you use to clean brushes? Dr. Bronner’s unscented liquid soap for brushes I use with powder products and Dr. Bronner’s unscented bar soap for brushes used with liquid or cream products. Occasionally I use Cinema Secrets, especially for my Artis brushes.

How often do you clean your brushes? Foundation brushes after each use. Concealer, blush, powder and bronzer brushes about once a week. Eyeshadow brushes every two weeks.

Do you enjoy cleaning your brushes? Yes. It is very satisfying to watch the color run out and they work so much better when they are clean.

I’m not a huge fan of cleaning brushes, but it has to be done. I have an extra of each kind of brush I need. I recently found a spray cleaner so I spray them throughly and wipe them off until I don’t see any more color, then they sit until dry. I clean them about once a month. I should probably clean more but that’s the situation.

What do you use to clean brushes? Castillo Soap, always Dr. Bronner’s, others don’t compare in quality and efficiency.

How often do you clean your brushes? Once a week, and I rarely use the same brush twice, I like fresh clean brushes. And no, if you wash and dry brushes correctly, it’s not too often. I have 5+ years old brushes who still are good to use after weekly washes; brushes like Sephora, Real Techniques, ELF, ABH lasted me at least 3 years before the barrel cracked or the hairs fall out completely. None of my MAC brushes was ever damaged; except one, which was my cat, not washing; I learned that my cat shouldn’t have access to natural hair brushes. 😆

Do you enjoy cleaning your brushes? Well, it’s not like entertainment, but I don’t mind doing it. I like to have clean brushes and the process usually takes less than 10 minutes.

I got a new cat and he LOVES ?natural hair brushes. Will jump up on things to steal them and then I find them on the floor all wet and gross. Other cats really had no interest except mischievous one that gets into everything. I find that the wood has cracked on brushes if I’m not careful about making sure that it’s completely dry. We shall see though if the desert has a drying/cracking effect on them know that I moved.

Coloring: well, maybe I’ve got it, a MAC #, meaning. NW15 in the studio fix 24 hr concealer. If the red u/ts could be nailed…. Awaiting a KGD concealer, too. KGD #013 ‘cool’ side. This brush washing thing, I love the ?, because I always need new suggestions. The first few I tried frankly, sucked. Parian Spirit from Beautylish is pretty good, using the scrub pad in the little decant jar, but white bristles usually stay stained. Got the solid Cinema Secrets from S. It takes the stains out of white bristles, but does not rinse out fully/easily. Often have to re-rinse, and dried brushes can seem residue-y. No specific schedule, though often weekly. After use, they are gathered in the ‘dirty cup,’ one use only. It seems they get washed, when one of the dirty ones is needed. Like most readers, I have a bunch of duped-ish generalized brushes, so can do a few days of looks without washing the brushes. Like it? It’s kind of like food shopping. I don’t like the idea of it…not quite to dread level…but don’t mind it at all, when doing it.

What do you use to clean brushes? Dawn dishwashing liquid (the original blue one). Then I hang them to dry, brush side down.

How often do you clean your brushes? When I’m using them regularly, I clean them at least twice a week, especially brushes used with creams or liquids.

Do you enjoy cleaning your brushes? I’m pretty neutral about the cleaning process, but I absolutely love using clean brushes.

What do you use to clean brushes? Nothing
How often do you clean your brushes? Never
Do you enjoy cleaning your brushes? Definitely not, if I did clean them, LOL!! I have never cleaned my brushes and some of them are over 30 years old. I know it sounds gross but I either use the Vera Mona Switch or a damp towel which I just run my brush back and forth until it does not give off any colour. I have never had a problem so I won’t mess with success.

What do you use to clean brushes? Baby shampoo. I just purchased an Automatic Makeup Brush cleaner and I have used it twice on some cheaper brushes, as it spins it fans out the brushes to dry them after they have been cleaned and I’m afraid to use them on my good brushes because I don’t want to ruin them. It cleans them really fast and well but I paid a lot of money for my HE brushes and I’m not willing to ruin them.
How often do you clean your brushes? Weekly
Do you enjoy cleaning your brushes? I love clean brushes so YES!

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair neutral

What do you use to clean brushes? I got a huge bottle of Beautyblender Blender Cleanser liquid cleanser for 10 bucks during a FabFitFun sale. It’s ok, it does take a bit of work to get some of the colors out (especially blushes) and you have to rinse your brushes really well or it leaves a residue. I won’t be repurchasing. I also use one of those nubby brush cleaning mats, it makes washing them a lot easier.

How often do you clean your brushes? Every week without fail; i also have 2 of each of my favorite eye and cheek/contour brushes, so I only use them 2-3 times before they get washed. It’s tough on my natural bristle brushes but the synthetics take it in stride. I got a couple of really bad eye infections a few months ago that left scars on my left cornea, so I’m super careful to keep things clean. Fortunately the corneal scars did not impact my vision (the infections were not from dirty brushes or eye makeup, it was a virus)

Do you enjoy cleaning your brushes? Yes I do haha. I love watching all the old makeup go down the drain and seeing my nice clean fluffy brushes.

What do you use to clean brushes? The solid soap from BeautyBlender or Sigma or the liquid from Eccotools. I also have a textured mat on which to “massage” the brushes.
How often do you clean your brushes? Currently, I wear makeup less than once a month. I would guess every couple uses. Sponges w each use.
Do you enjoy cleaning your brushes? Enjoy is a strong word but I do like to use clean brushes. Healthier.

What do you use to clean brushes? Whatever cleanser solid I have on hand at the moment, or Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo/Conditioner with a little silicone scrubber.

How often do you clean your brushes? Not often enough, but usually when I notice staining on most of them that won’t come out by rubbing them on a towel.

Do you enjoy cleaning your brushes? I never used to, but lately I make it a relaxing thing by putting on a podcast or some music and just take my time. It’s a lot more enjoyable that way.

Once a month I wash them using the beautyblender solid pro bar and let them dry upside down.
