Optimist is a medium orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was fairly powdery, which resulted in light fallout during application and a tendency to sheer out a bit. It needed a primer underneath to help the coverage built up more evenly. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that stayed on decently for eight hours before showing signs of fading.
