10 Ways to Wear the Pat McGrath Divine Rose II Palette
I’ve been seeing readers mention receiving tracking numbers and the like for the recently-released (and now sold out) Pat McGrath Divine Rose II Palette, so I thought it would be useful to share some possible combinations to try with the palette. It appears that the palette will be restocked per the website as well. The palette has also launched early at Sephora (original launch was 6/15). And as always, you don’t NEED the palette to get inspired and play around with similar colors you already own!
About This Series
Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the “core” color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.
You might see combinations that seem slightly repeated but placement will vary (e.g. a halo placement where the lightest and more shimmery shade is placed on the center) as placement can also create a different effect/look! You might also want to consider incorporating your favorite matte/shimmer shades (as applicable) to increase the versatility of certain palettes. Consider these ideas a jumping off point!

I love that first picture that catches the color shift in the mirror. Your photos (especially the macro shots) are my favorite thing about the blog.
It wasn’t even intentional, just one of my regular shots, but it’s soooooo cool!!
Wow, good catch Molly! I didn’t even notice that until I read your comment. That’s really cool!
It’s available now on Sephora!!
Saving a couple of these for when my palette gets here.. Planes, trains, and automobiles
I love these posts! I am passing on this palette, for a variety of reasons. But I love some of these combos and am totally going to attempt to reproduce them with what I have. It is fun shopping my own collection!
Great job, Christine! While I can’t get the palette at this time, I’m also seeing Sextraterrestrial inner corner, Eleganza middle lid, Divine Dusk outer corner, and Xtreme Burgundy crease as a possibility!
Sold out again? I’m stumped as to why this company doesn’t just make a LOT of these and sell them. I mean, isn’t that sort of what business is about/for, especially now when so many businesses have little to no “business”? I mean, we’re not talking about limited edition prints here and, as much as I love makeup, it is “just” makeup – it’s not fine art or a one of a kind piece of million dollar jewelry. Imagine if Audi said “We’re only making 1,000 Q5 cars this year, no matter how great the demand”. I guess I just don’t get it. And I SO want Astral Pink Moon and, even more, that amazing Sextraterrestrial (what a pain that is to type!)
Divine Rose II just released, and it took a few days to sell out but will be restocked! Divine Rose I is still in stock, though.
The colour story of this palette is gorgeous!
