What was the last look you wore that you loved?
I did a rainbow-inspired look using Sydney Grace eyeshadows, but it had a bit more of a jewel-toned lean with really smooth sheen.

Today! I did a look using the Kaleidos Futurism I: Sci-Fi Green palette and paired it with the greens/khakis from the Colourpop So Jaded palette. It’s a very murky/grungy green look, but the shadow on my lid, Peridot, is a bright lime green. I paired it with the CoverFX Monochromatic Blush Duo in Soft Peach and a peachy, pigmented gloss, The Balm BalmJour Creamy Lip Stain in Konnichiwa. I love this look a lot, but I think I especially love it because I paired it with a jewel blue top today and I love the combo of the murky green with the jewel blue and peach.
Yes!!!
Neutral brown eyes with red lips. MAC’s Warm Neutral palette x15 still remains one of my favorites and every time I use it, the look turns out so pretty and one of my favorites. My favorite red lip at the moment is YSL #13 lipstick.
After months and months of doing different eye looks with nude lipsticks, I’ve been on a kick of simple eyes and darker lips for the past week or so, using Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Au Natural on my crease, followed by tightlining and mascara on the upper lash line, and a natural-looking blush. Then a big pop of color on my lips. I’ve been using different lip shades every day. Lipstick du jour is MAC Chili.
P.S. Your rainbow eye look is stunning!
I just had a Chanel counter make-over, one that I scheduled a month in advance. I wore the products I ended up purchasing and received SO many compliments whenever I wore that particular makeup look. I don’t have time most work mornings to apply it all the time since the baby moved into toddler-zone.
The line up of products was…
Eyes – Les Beige Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette in Light; Style Yeux in Cassis; mix of Chanel and Sisley mascara (sales associate showed me how to apply)
Face – Base Lumiere Illuminating Makeup Base; mix of VA Aqua in B10 and Velvet Matte in B10 (matte on my T-zone, VA on the rest)
Lipstick – Ultra Wear Lip Colour Strawberry Red
Cheek – I didn’t buy a blush so I used my Guerlain Meteorites Healthy Glow at home.
My favourite looks these days revolve around warm and cool mixes with rose and burnt orange eyeshadows being my go-tos. Since dyeing my hair blonde, I feel I can wear a wider range of colour which has allowed me to open myself up to wearing warmer colours in all face products. I still cannot wear heavy yellow or orange or overly warm bases, but I’m surprising myself with what I can.
My favourite colours to wear in a simple mostly matte smoky eye are:
-Natasha Denona Safari: Tribe, Maasai, Amhara, Lotus
-Natasha Denona Biba: Pasha, Buff, Sculpture (This grey is so amazingly versatile and I can just wear this shade if I wanted a super simple eye), Rayon, Seed
-PMG Divine Rose: Mahogany, Velouria. Velouria is another shade I can wear as a simple smoky eye. I love it paired with burnt orange.
– PMG Star Wars 6 pan palettes: To bump up any of the looks above. Instant glam.
Sorry for not being specific. I tend to not keep track of my looks and shared my heavy use shades instead ?
That teal and green look I described last Saturday on The Week In Review. Using Huda Emerald palette and MAC Jealousy Wakes made for the prettiest teal-green eye look I may have done in quite a while! Glad I have backups of Sephora Contour Pencil in Fairytale, too, as that’s what I used on the lower lashline.
I love your rainbow eye look!
Yesterday I used two very old Guerlain bronzers (I have never used a bronzer before because they end up orange on me).
The first one was sun light 01 and the second one was Blondes Halees 01. I used the sun light one as a blush, and the Blondes as a bronzer.
Then I also put sun light on my crease, and Blondes into my outer eye corner. I tightlined my eyes with black liner and that was it. It turned out really natural and pretty!
Yes, I loved that eyeshadow look of your Christine.
My favourite was the other week when I created an olive toned look, featuring the muted gold from Dior’s 3 Couleurs Khaki, Spectacular from bareMinerals and the olive brown shade from Dior. It turned out really well, paired with an orangey lipstick – Foolish by CP.
lovely….
Today, actually! I copied the Yellow look from Melanie Mills’ book Glitter & Glam, only I changed the eye makeup’s color from yellow to berry because my fair, cool skin probably wouldn’t look very good in all that yellow. After applying my usual Fenty base (Amber Match Stix as cheek contour and Pro Filt’r 110 concealer and soft matte foundation) I layered Tarte Amazonian Clay Natural Beauty blush and ColourPopxDisney Designer Midnight Masquerade Andalasia highlighter on the apples of my cheeks and used Andalasia on my cheekbones, temples, jawline, and neck. I lined my top lashline with NARS Belladonna eyeshadow (from the Erdem Fleur Fatale palette) and applied UD Midnight Cowboy shadow all over my lid, then put Too Faced Berried Treasure (from the Razzle Dazzle Berry palette) on the outer and inner corners of lid and along the undereye and TF RDB Boys ‘n Berry in the center of lid and on the browbone, winging out the outer corner of both browbone and lid. I finished off the look with lots of YSL The Shock Rough Burgundy mascara, Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2 Viva la Vergara lipstick, and NYX Candy Slick Jawbreaker gloss.
