These look like they’ll be amazing little brushes! The travel size handles would be great for any of us very nearsighted folks, too. Only problem is, I just know these will be goat hair. Stupid goat allergy! ?
I don’t know that the handles WILL be “travel-sized”. She also called the Sky Face Set “travel” brushes and the handles are standard length. I believe the “travel” claim was due to the fact that the brushes were supposed to be multi-purpose (so you bring fewer of them with you).
These look great! Wonder if they are small travel sized brushes? Hopefully they are regular sized. Love the blue slim handles!
Something perhaps to use my certificates on.
No prices or what the brushes are?
They haven’t released that information yet!
I cannot wait! I was so tempted to buy the face set, because I am in love with the color and I love her brushes, but I’d really only use one of the face brushes. So I’ve been waiting for this. I think I see 2-3 brush shapes that aren’t the ones I regularly use, but I am just going to use this as a reason to try those shapes again.
I realize that I’m carping and being critical, but which one has white bristles and WHY? If they are all the same goat hair, why is one undyed, and the others dyed? Or does the Saikono goat come in different colors, and the white hair was chosen for a certain brush? I never let go of the two year old’s Why?
I can totally understand how that can look weird aesthetically speaking, especially since this set doesn’t include any of the salt-and-pepper brushes either! I believe I read somewhere, probably on Sonia’s blog, that there is a functional difference between dyed and undyed saikoho goat bristles, with the former having more blending power and grabbing onto powder a bit more. Since a lot of the brushes in this set are blenders or smudgers, I kinda get why she would choose dyed bristles! The undyed bristles of the shader will help with building the application more slowly and with control, hence the soft in the name I think.
Sadly her eye brushes are too big for my eyes.
Lesley what brushes do you use? I have hooded eyes and use the small Surratt and small Suqqu brushes with softer shadows, as well as pointed brushes meant for inner corner or smoking out lower lid, but most brushes are too bulky with my lids..
Fellow hooded eyes here. Thank you, you just saved me the temptation to spend $160 when I don’t even use all the brushes I do have. They look amazing, but I can’t use brushes that are too large either. 🙁
ironically the sky set is perfect for someone like me with hooded eyes.
I’m confused as to what this set is supposed to add or offer in addition to her other eye brush set. I just recently purchased the Pro eye set in addition to the Worker 3 and Builder 3 brushes. They are my first Sonia G brushes and I like them a lot! But I’m trying to avoid redundancy, as I own way more brushes than I prefer…. so, I’m wondering if this will add or enhance by much what I already own… hmm.. I already own all of Wayne Goss’s eye brushes which I like…
