Do you have an everyday look? If so, what is it?

Nope! I don’t think there was ever a period of time where I had a go-to look (or even something that only had slight variations) that I wore most days. Pre-blog was mostly in college, and I was ALL about the eyes and did different eye looks all the time. I was more likely to wear no makeup to school and then do it all up after school.

Sure do – my same ol’ boring type of look. 3 eyeshadows max (more often just 2) – cool toned to slightly warm neutrals (MAC Mulch or Twinks are examples of the “warmth” level I like), dark brown liner, a pink or rosy blush (also cool – no orange, coral or peach for me) and a red or plummy lip (Chanel Pirate or MAC Craving are examples of the red or plum I use). I’m trying to do my brows more regularly but in my morning rush, I often skip this step.

I have been going out with the eyebrows done, just using shu uemura brow pencil set with surratt brow pomade. when i have more time I use a light felt tip brow pen. lots of luminous moisturizer and sometimes mac strobe cream on the high points. no blush or mascara for the last few months.

Nope, No, Nada! I do have a few quicker, easier go-to looks for when I’m either in a hurry or just don’t have the creative energy flowing, though. But even then, the lips will be changed up even though the eye look and cheek follow some sort of basic pattern. For example; MAC Soft Brown (or Kid), Folie, Arena or Woodwinked (or Satin Taupe), maybe some Twinks, Dazzlelight (or Nylon), liner and mascara, UD Jawbone, Essence Satin Love (or MAC Cheek Pollen or Tarte Paaaarty), but lips could be UD Broken or Liar, Fenty Universal Gloss Bomb, or a kapow red!

I have big eyes and usually do some variation of a a smokey eye. I may add a pop of color as an under eyeliner I apply with a smudge brush and a pop of a shimmer topper on my lids followed by mascara. Light brows, light bronzer and variations of blush. Lippies are in my purse and are usually a plummy, warm brown. I usually use a tinted moisturizer.

Even if I go makeup free I always have brows on. But I don’t really have an everyday look. I’m rotating my collection weekly so it changes by what products I decide to focus on that week. Sometimes I pick neutral browns, and sometimes I pick bright colors.

I’ve always wanted to be the type of person with my own personal style (think Kate Middleton with her understated beauty or the J-Lo glow) but there’s just too much fun stuff out there to choose from. Most of the time I don’t know how to do anything but a smoky eye. It doesn’t matter what I set out to do! Lately (ie the last couple of weeks) I’ve been trying to dial back the intensity to shake things up and do just do a wash of one color on the lid. But because I’m just 100% that girl that rhymes with witch (if you catch my Lizzo drift), I have to add some sort of glitter topper on top. My favorite color is sparkle. As for lipstick, sometimes I’ll wear several different ones throughout the day.

A neutral medium brown in the crease then something lighter in color and shiny on the lid , highlighter in the inner corner.

If I’m really in a hurry just bronzer in the crease. Usually do base concealer and blush.

No BUT, I have a go-to everyday technique/style/process. ‘Right’ or ‘wrong’ it’s always primer or Maybelline tattoo in the white shimmer because I’m trying to use it up then set with a shadow like Mac Brule. Then I do my crease first in a matte (but I put it up a little higher because of my eye shape), then lid, outer V (darker matte) then more Brule to blend out. Same thing every time except different colors lol

Since I retired the answer is a resounding, NO! I wear makeup now for the sheer fun of it and the creative outlet it provides. Back when I was working at the hospital and even more importantly, the years that I did day shift and had to be at work by 6:30 AM, I had a very simply and neutral eye look. I would use a cream shade over the entire lid and then blend one shadow into the crease, usually MAC Omega or a similar shade. I would slap on a tinted balm and some blush and call it a day. It was hard enough to get my body out of bed and moving without having to think about a more elaborate makeup look. It would not have been frowned on at the hospital but with my stilted views of what is appropriate, I would have found some of the looks I do now as not work appropriate.

My most basic, sitting around the house is – eyebrows done, moisturizer/blurring primer, powder and lips. My work look is usually basic eye – lid and crease nuetrals with black or colorful liner, BB cream or very light foundation, rosy blush and light lip color. My new job is working with pretty conservative people so I have to keep it light.

No, I don’t either. Every day is a different eye look for me. I love mixing up the shades and combinations to use all of my palettes. As I have lots of bright and colourful clothes, I like to complement my eye look with the colours – so each day is diverse.

Yes, I do!
My everyday look is probably minimal or monochrome makeup for most of you.
I’m never without a winged charcoal gray or black Kajal eyeliner. Then I just use whatever blush or bronzer I’m wearing as an eyeshadow applied from the mobile lid and blended just past the outer V. Whatever highlighter I’m using goes on my inner eye corner as well as the usual places you’d put it. After that, it’s just 2 coats of mascara, a blush or bronzer contour, and one of my many medium to light pink lippies.

I have Asian facial features, which means I have small lid spaces. I’d often look on, enviously, to those with big lids and prominent eye sockets, because they get to pull off very colourful looks. For me, bold looks often make me look overdone. So anytime I want to put on, say, a beautiful duochrome green, a punchy red, I put light dabs in the center of my lids and blend out the edges with nude tones like fleshy browns and beiges.

My go-to look often consists of a nude lip colour (recent favourites are Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour in Bare and their Crushed Liquid Lip in Juicy Date), a sheer wash of a rosy blush (MAC Rosy Cheeks), a flip of mascara and finally a light dust of nude tones on the eyes (Tartelette In Bloom). When I have time I like to put a duochrome in the center (Colourpop Glass Bull, Tea Garden) for that extra pop. Then the most important part – the complexion. I use L’Oreal 24H Matte Foundation in 12 Natural Rose and press it into my skin in thin layers using a beauty blender. Although it’s a matte foundation, it really gives a natural glow because of the way I applied it. It also doesn’t get oily as opposed to if I were to use a dewy foundation.

Side note, what I really look for in a look is balance in colour and tone, and it has to work with the outfit I’m wearing.

On my eyes, a light to medium shimmer on my lids, a neutral matte like UD Naked in my crease and blended up. A darker brown at my outer corner and blended under my eye. Tightline in dark brown and mascara, Boy Brow for eyebrows.
For my face, Sheer foundation, nude-rose-mauve blush and a lip product-any non matte formula in a mlbb shade.
