ColourPop x Disney Designer Midnight Masquerade Swatches
There’s another around of ColourPop x Disney that debuts today at 8AM PT. The collection includes a larger eyeshadow palette (well, it contains two Pressed Glitters and one Pressed Pigment), eight Lux Liquid Lips (new formula!), and eight cheek colors (blushes and highlighters). You can purchase all of the products individually as well as cheek/lip duos or a trio (one cheek color, one lip color, and the palette, which comes with a bag). Here are swatches…
Hi!! Thank you so much for this! Would you say any of these highlighters/blushes are too dark for a light complexion? I was expecting them to be deeper but they look like they look great on you!
Hi Julia,
I’m the wrong person to ask because I don’t see why they couldn’t be worn on “light” skin (“Light” is also a bit subjective – like I’ve seen someone refer to themselves as light and be about as fair as one can get and someone else say light when it’s actually closer to light-medium based on general categorizations of foundation formulas!) – it’s more about what your preferences are! Medium-tan to deeper skin tones may encounter issues with some shades appearing ashy or not showing up well.
Yay, thanks for getting the swatches up in time! Awesome work! They all look good and I just ordered the whole set from ShopDisney (after spending days convincing myself that I only need one or two things … problem is, I’m a Disney Princess fanatic, and emotion eventually won).
I am very excited about the new lip formula, although I wish there was some more color variation in this set’s lip colors. And I can’t wait to try the blushes. The eye palette has some interesting new colors compared to IAPT, and I bet they will complement each other well. I know many people take issue with the pressed glitters and won’t purchase them, but I personally love them and am excited to glitter-up my princessy looks.
Now if these Disney Designer releases are going to be a yearly thing, I may be in trouble …
There’s nothing here that really jumps out at me, but it’s Disney and I want something just for the packaging! Maybe Floating Lights cheek color. And I really hate that they put the glitters into the palette.
I’m tempted to just pick up the Megara set and call it good because my love for Meg runs deep.
I was so sad to see her lipcolor was not more purple! Granted, this shade looks more wearable than a truer purple, but like…. thematically I was expecting more purple lol.
Miss Mercurial, same here. I would have loved to have seen her get a purple lip shade. Bought her set anyway.
Same here! But at least we get some lovely purple tones with the highlighter (I mean, it looks lilac to me, but it could be my monitor!)
The set was inexpensive enough so I ended up picking it up shortly after I posted my initial comment, haha!
Yes, I think the highlighter looks lavender or lilac, which I love. I just couldn’t say no to Meg. She and Mulan are my favorite Disney “princesses.”
I swear, one more palette with these same shades and I may have to shoot myself. I do love Frog and Wife but hoping for a dupe, which I probably have.
So, I will pick up a lip/cheek set but hard to decide which one. Undoubtedly, it will be one of the deeper shades of lipstick and those are all pretty. I will await reviews and tempt the Gods that one of the sets I like makes it past the first few days of launch.
Down In New Orleans, Topsy Turvy and Once Upon A Dream look like my types of shades, plus I believe they’d work with my coloring, too.
That e/s palette with LARGE glitters in two of the shades makes me nervous for whoever buys it! If I did, I’d scoop ’em out and send them back to ColourPop HQ. For real, I would.
After seeing your close up of the palette and the swatches, I went ahead and ordered the palette. Unfortunately, I’m having buyer’s remorse after realizing that two of the pans contain plastic glitter, and that the shades that jewel shades in the last row that drew me in I can probably (definitely) dupe in my huge collection a dozen times over. Sigh. It may be time for me to go on a low-buy (I know myself and a no-buy is impossible). Then again, if this get s good score from you I may feel less remorse (although I could still use a low-buy).
As a big Colourpop fan, thank you for such timely swatches, Christine! (in addition to your crazy-fast holiday reviews in general).
I know itโs you policy not to commit to future reviews. But I really hope youโll consider a full review on Colourpopโs So Jaded when the holiday craziness slows down. It would be so helpful to see dupes for CPโs first mega palette.
Wow! So excited! Are those cheek shades from the super shock formula? I may or may not be able to wear it.
The lux lip color is making me really curious. The ultra satin lip is the only liquid lipstick formula I’m willing to wear. I wonder if these are similar or just lacquers?
I just hauled the CP princess palette and haven’t even used it yet so the palette is a pass for now.
Nvm, just checked the website and I see that the cheek stuff are all powders. Which is perfect
Lippies are only sold in the set, right? Sigh. Kind of a big ol’ pass for me. I’m sad Mulan and Pocahontas were skipped again.
I’m so done with glitter and companies hyping them. Hype doesn’t equal safe.
Nope, everything is available individually – I got 4 of the lip and cheek sets and 2 extra liquid lux lippies this morning ๐
At least we got Meg and Esmeralda this time. Maybe next time we’ll get Mulan and Pocahontas. Here’s hoping!
Thanks for getting these swatches up! I ordered the eye palette and the Meg set (because Meg). I resisted everything else, though if funds were unlimited I would have bought the whole set. Really, though, the cheek and lip products are redundant to my collection, so I stayed strong.
More plastic glitter shades that look awful….the cheek shades look nice.
Disney themed makeup is my kryptonite. Iโve already ordered several sets.
I may be alone (or not) but there are only three colors in the palette that would be unique fir le and that I really like, Mama Odie, Frog and wife, and Merriweather. So with shipping to Europe being what it is for Colour Pop, itโs a no-go. May use them to find dupes though, so thanks Christine !
