What limited edition eyeshadow would you love to see made permanent?

Urban Decay Honey Eyeshadow! Technically discontinued rather than limited edition; it made a brief return in 2014 but has been gone for awhile now.

Just one??? MAC Moth Brown would probably be at the top of my list. There was another one that I think was a Starflash shade – something with “henna” in the name, or maybe it was Mink&Sable – that I’d really love to own. Of those I do own, I’d really love to see Grand Entrance (also a Starflash shade) make a come-back. I’m sure there are several by UD but I can’t recall any specifically by name. Also there is a shade in an long ago palette by Tarte called Barefoot and if I could get that particular shade – it’s the most perfect light beige with wonderful sheen – I’d buy it in a heart-beat.

From what I was told by a MAC SA, that collection is permanent, at least for a while. I was gutted as one of the red shades was OOS everywhere, but she told me not to worry, as it was permanent.

Smoked Amethyst by Pat McGrath. I couldn’t justify buying the LE palette it came in b/c two of the shades in that palette were in the Decadence palette, so it would have been a waste of money. It really did break my heart to have to pass on it.

Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch 48 Quartz (discontinued). It is a matte pink and you would think that it is nothing special about it. It is unbelievably soft when you apply it, with no fallout. But the magic is in the colour itself. It looks like a soft pink but it intensifies once applied and it shifts towards a lavender pink. It compliments my brownish/amber eyes, and strangely enough, it adds luminosity to my entire complexion (NW15). I haven’t found a dupe for it so far.

The one you yourself created with MAC, Jealousy Wakes! It is the perfect cool green with subtle teal blue shifting pearl (and possibly gold? Or am I seeing things?). All I know is that I’m going to be very sad once it’s all used up and gone.

Also….not LE, but DC’d; ALL the permanent eyeshadows that MAC has ditched in recent years! WTH is up with them? All the beautiful purples are mostly gone. All the fabulous Matte¹ gone. I get nervous about their next culling, TBH.

Oh gosh – the Matte2 shadows were fabulous, and that’s coming from someone who’s not all that crazy about mattes. I think they’ve kept Blanc Type but some who’ve bought the new one say it’s no longer the same. The whole Starflash range (or most of it) should have been kept and expanded and the original Pro Longwear shadows too. But, hey, to paraphrase Bogart’s Rick, “We’ll always have CARBON”. And I also missed out on Jealousy Wakes (it was gone so fast that it didn’t even register in the “I regret not buying this” part of my brain) but one I did forget to mention was Modern Pewter!

Probably the mac mega metal shadows, those were gorgeous and had a fantastic formula. Id love to see those come back and with even more colors.

The yellow that UD had in the Kristen Leanne collection; I don’t remember what it is called, but it is so strange that they don’t have a permanent yellow anywhere in their line. I stay away from buying limited edition stuff if I can nowadays, which is why I didn’t get this particular shadow, because it would be so hard to replace it if something happened.

I am a taupe fan and an old blog had a list of them but most all were discontinued. Among them were Mac Smoke & Diamonds and Sweet Sienna. Also, there are plethora of yellows now but mustard is still elusive for me. I should have purchased Urban Decay Kristen Leanne S.G.H. when i had the chance.

MAC stylishly merry from the snowball collection! It sold out instantly and never restocked so I never got to get it. MAC does have an eyeshadow named Stylishly Merry but its NOT the same one from Snowball! Why would they name two different shades the same name????

I could make a palette of discontinued Urban Decay shadows. I would get Kinky and Freestyle (Smoked Palette), Lucy and Corona (Kristen Leanne), Infamous and Money (Mariposa), Salazam Grum (Alice Through the Looking Glass), Bleach, First Offense and Territorial (Distortion) and Acoustic (Heavy Metals).

There are two LE Mac items I desperately want back:

1) Lucky Green eyeshadow (at least I think that’s the name). It’s bright lime green, with some yellow shimmer. I love lime green and this shadow hits the right balance of green and yellow. This came out a decade or so ago and I still haven’t found a close-to-perfect dupe. I’m using Bay Breeze by Coloured Rain now, and it’s nice but runs a bit too yellow for my tastes.

2) Dish It Up lipstick. It’s kinda a tropical pink- bright and reminds me of guava. The finish is lustre (sheer) so you have control over how opaque it gets. I love that because I have large lips, so for everyday I wear more toned down lipstick. This also came out something like a decade ago, and still no dupe.

As a side note, I found both of these via this blog.
