ColourPop Rise 'n' Shine & Z Boys Just a Tint Lippie Tints Reviews & Swatches
Rise 'n' Shine
ColourPop Rise ‘n’ Shine Just a Tint Lippie Tint ($7.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium, peachy coral with warm undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had medium coverage in a single layer (but this formula is marketed as a “sheer wash”), which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips, but this particular shade did sink into my deeper lip lines a little more than most in the range (still not bad at all for how emollient the formula is). The consistency was lightweight, thin without being clingy, and had a great, creamy glide to it–balm-like but not too slippery at all. It wore well for three hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

The formula is described as "the perfection sheer wash of colour in the comfiest, lightweight, super moisturizing formula." Here's the big takeaway... they are not that sheer; they're not a wash of color. They have medium to semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a few shades being more true medium in coverage; I just wouldn't say they're sheer nor just a wash. That medium to semi-opaque level of coverage still allows for some translucency, which gives the color a lighter look that's more like a stain.
The texture was creamy, thin, lightweight, and balm-like; I'd actually say it felt like a gel-like balm because it had the cushion-like slip of a lip balm but had the smoothing prowess of more gel-based formulas. The most impressive aspect of the formula was how little the colors sank into my lip lines and how forgiving they were with imperfections in lip texture. The wear time varied from two and a half to four hours on me, and the formula was lightly hydrating over time. They have a sweet, fruity scent (passionfruit per their website) but no discernible taste.

Z Boys
ColourPop Z Boys Just a Tint Lippie Tint ($7.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium, peachy brown with warmer undertones and a natural finish–a little glossy, a little creamy. It had buildable coverage from medium (one layer) to semi-opaque (two layers) pigmentation. The color applied evenly to my lips, and the pencil was comfortable to maneuver along the edges of my lips as well as to fill-in color all over. It had a lightweight consistency that had moderate creaminess, slip but not enough that it felt wet or slippery on, and while it was thin, it was forgiving of imperfections in lip texture. There was a smidgen of product that sank into my deeper lip lines, but it wasn’t noticeable at a normal viewing distance. This shade stayed on well for three hours on me and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Z Boys looks like something I would use as a very easy on-the-go type lipstick. Something I could just throw on while on the bus or out and about. I actually love it.
Rise ‘n’ Shine not so much. Too orange of a nude for an on-the-go shade, just like UD Sansa Stark. Needs lip liner and prep work.
Z Boys is a pretty one. I could see that being really nice for summer.
Very pretty summer shades, I am a fan of the peachy coral lip shades.
I clicked for the makeup but I’m commenting on the jewelry. I’m absolutely smitten with your earrings! Can you tell me where you got them? And to be makeup related, I like the polished look you created with your eye makeup. Very classy. I would love trying ColourPop’s lippie tints but I can’t get myself to pull the trigger when I have so many lip products already!
I believe they’re from Kate Spade, but they were likely limited edition! 🙁
Shades and formulas like this are right up my alley!
