Ciate Spark & Topaz Glitter Storm Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Spark
Ciate Spark Glitter Storm Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium coral with warm, golden shimmer and faint micro-sparkle. Swatched, it looked lighter than the tube but applied, the base pigmentation was more noticeable. It had medium coverage, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging. It enhanced and brought out the natural pink tones in my lips, which I think made it appear a bit more pink-coral than it actually was. The consistency was lightweight, smooth (I didn’t feel the sparkle), and emollient without being too slippery. It stayed on well for four hours and was lightly moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.12 oz. - $183.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "full-color base" with "star-like pigments" that give "three-dimensional shine and shimmer." The pigmentation ranged from medium to opaque, depending on the shade, though I'd say most were fairly pigmented. The consistency was lightweight, creamy without being heavy or thick, and the color went on fairly evenly. In general, I felt like they could have applied a bit more evenly overall but the high-shine, sparkly/metallic finish often camouflaged imperfections in the application when seen at a normal viewing distance. I could feel the glittery texture in two shades as I applied--Cosmic and Elektra--but the other shades were very smooth and cream-like; even with Cosmic and Elektra, it was just "this is a glittery lipstick" in level of feel, by no means rough or painful to use! They lasted between four and six hours and were lightly hydrating over time.

Topaz
Ciate Topaz Glitter Storm Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark copper with strong, warm orange undertones and flecks of pink, gold, and copper sparkle. It had a lightweight, emollient consistency that was comfortable to apply (no grittiness) and to wear. The lipstick had nearly opaque pigmentation that adhered well to my lips with even coverage, though there was a smigden of product that sat in my deeper lip lines–but I didn’t notice it at a normal viewing distance. It wore nicely for four and a half hours and was lightly hydrating while worn.

Goodness gracious! These are truly pretty! Spark looks just like a Revlon lipstick I wore to death end of 90’s into early 2000’s (3 tubes worth). Which means that I will have to find a tester and try it on to see if I can still pull it off!
I’m loving Topaz, but I think the Maybelline dupe I have is close enough to pass. I’m a bit surprised I don’t have dupe for Spark. It’s a beautiful shade, but I don’t seem to wear lighter corals much.
Spark looks so nice on you! A shame it didn’t rate better.
Looking forward to learning how Cosmic does! :o) Spark looks really pretty, too!
i was definitely hoping it would be more sparkly
I really love Topaz – a beautiful shade of copper.
These are so gorgeous.
❤?❤
Spark is really pretty (to look at — it’s one of those colors that seems really nice on other people and turns out to be a disaster on me).
