Urban Decay Deep End Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “bright teal shimmer.” It’s a blue-based teal with a frosted finish. Urban Decay Junkie is darker, bluer. MAC Rain Drop is more frosted. theBalm Open to Offers Olwen is similar. Tarina Tarantino Ozma is a touch bluer. Tom Ford Emerald Lust #3 is more metallic.
It originally debuted in the 15th Anniversary Palette, but it will now be available as a permanent shade online at urbandecay.com and at Sephora in JCP locations. Â Deep End is incredibly rich in color payoff, and the color is true-to-pan. Â It has a soft, buttery texture that’s dense and finely-milled, and as a result, is easily blended once applied to the lid. Â This shade wore for nine hours without creasing or fading when I tested it. Â It’s a color that you may already have in your stash, but if you’re a fan of intensely pigmented teal eyeshadows and don’t have one quite like it, it’s one to consider. The texture and pigmentation are quite phenomenal; definitely a standout shade (in terms of quality) within the range.

I wish you didn’t have to drop $18+ for these shadows–but with UD, I suppose you get what you pay for.
Wish they made a red, but I heard the red/purple pigments in cosmetics have a higher chance of irritating eyes?
Certain red dyes are more irritating than other dyes so that’s why you won’t see a lot of red eyeshadows – there are some but not a lot!
Ben Nye makes a deep matte red – Soleil Red – that’s technically a blush. I wouldn’t put it right against my eyes, but I’ve used it at the outer edges of an eye shadow look.
And yes, those red/purple dyes can be irritating – I finally learned that I cannot wear either the Urban Decay purple eyeliners or MAC purple eyeliners on my waterline, or I will have allergic conjunctivitis the day afterward. It took me a while to accept it though. 😉
1) Deep end is such a wonderful shade I love it.
2) I had a hard time finding a red that was really red. SugarPill’s Asylum is a wonderful red. check it out!
I have a colour by Kiko which looks almost the same!

I’m really excited that you mentioned TT Ozma as a dupe! I wanted to get this but I already have the Emerald Pretty palette so I’m set!
Why not repromote some other shades from the 15th anniversary palette? This is the only one of all those shades that I don’t like at all. Okay, it’s not that I don’t like it, it’s a pretty shade, but teal eyeshadow makes me look like a one dollar hooker. It crashes completely with my peachy skin :/
This was one of the best shades in the 15th anniversary palette imo! So intense and lovely. Buttt since I have the Fun Palette too, probably never going to need to pick up a full pan of it.

I’m so happy I can buy this as a single. I really debated buying the 15th Anniversary palette because of this shade and Omen but being reasonable with my wallet won out.
Does anyone know if Milani’s baked eyeshadow in Teal The Truth is a dupe or a close shade? It looks like it from here but I can’t test to be sure. I own this and wondering if I still need to pick up the UD one.
They should release junkie as an individual shadow. This would be a hit!
