MAC Let's Skate Pro Longwear Paint Pot Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Let’s Skate Pro Longwear Paint Pot
MAC Let’s Skate Pro Longwear Paint Pot ($18.50 for 0.17 oz.) is described as a “pale pink with pearl.” It’s a soft, pale pink with a gold shimmer-sheen. The closest dupe I could think of was bareMinerals Glitterati which has a similar pale pink base with a golden sheen, but it is a powder product and is more metallic in finish.
This shade had really great pigmentation–it was fully opaque on the lid, and it didn’t need to be built up in endless layers either. It wasn’t the most flattering when it dried down on my lid, but from a normal viewing distance, it didn’t create noticeable crepiness. I didn’t experience any fall out with this shade, which was definitely a happy surprise! It had a creamy, blendable consistency that dried down just slightly longer than a cream/matte Paint Pot but not so long that it had time to gather in the creases and settle there. After twelve hours, there were no signs of creasing or fading.
FYI: the ingredient list for the Pro Longwear Paint Pots is the same as for the regular Paint Pots when I compared against the list for Bare Study/Constructivist! It’s off by one ingredient when compared to the Paint Pots from Posh Paradise.

YAY! This is the one that really caught my eye, but completely expected it to be a flop! So happy it isn’t! Thank for reviewing, Christine!
Wow, is this the same as the one that came out with Glitter & Ice? I don’t remember it having such a beautiful, prominent golden sheen.
It is the same one!
This is a gorgeous one–it seems to lie on the skin better than many of the others too.
My favorite one ever!!! Aside from painterly
Have you tried it with a shadow layered over it? Any creasing?
Hi Brit!
I only had about 24 hours to test these guys, so I wasn’t able to test this one with eyeshadow on top of it !
is this LE?
Wow this is beautiful! Love the gold sheen!
Crazy but I’m pretty sure I bought this a while back (during holiday season?) when it came with a white lid. I believe it was limited edition back then but I’m glad it’s back. I like to use it sheer like your swatch on the right for a beachy girl look.
How does it compare with Bare Study paint pot for the purpose of eye base?
I think it would work well as a base, since it lays smoothly on the lid overall.
How does this compare to the one released with the Glitter and Ice collection? You gave the paint pots from that collection an overall B grade. If you would grade the G&I paint pots individually, what would you have given Let’s Skate?
Hi Sandrine,
There was no difference from what I could tell from the ones released in Cham-Pale to these ones, so the grade would not change!
I don’t even wear pink that often, but this little lovely may need to come home with me.. Just saying. 😉
So pretty! I love the Paint Pots that are more basic and neutral, and this one will definitely be on my list.
Do these have major fallout? I definately don’t want chunks of glitter in my eyes.
I didn’t have fall out with this shade!
I have this one from the glitter and ice collection with the white top. Mine has a lot more glitter then this one and by the end of the day the glitter migrated all over my face
Nice! I knew this would be the one to buy. Great review 🙂
I just saw these in David Jones in Australia, they must’ve put them out that morning because no one else had their fingers in there before me! =P I have to say, Let’s Skate is sooo beautiful! I’ll definitely get this one I think.
