Least flattering blush on you? Despite being cool-toned I don’t generally get on with light, bright blue-based pinks. I think the red hair makes slightly warmer blushes more flattering.
Least flattering lipstick on you? I would say really pale, milky colours. Whether they’re nudes, pinks or corals, lipsticks with a light base just look a bit weird on me.
Least flattering eyeshadow on you? Very warm, orangey tones. MAC Woodwinked springs to mind, although I can make it work if I use the right base and pair it with the right shades. For some reason very cool colours (blues, greys) aren’t very flattering on me either.
Hi, Laura! It seems like we have very similar coloring (I’m a fair skinned red head with green eyes, too) but I always figured since my hair and eyes were warm toned, that my skin would be, too. I’ve always wondered about my skin tone because while I have some “cool” characteristics (pinky tones, veins appearing purple/blue under my skin), it seemed counterintuitive that someone with red hair to have cool toned skin! How did you determine your tone, if you don’t mind me asking?

Least Flattering Blush: If I apply it the right way, I have yet to find a blush that I didn’t really like! But I have a lot to try yet too.
Least Flattering Lipstick: Oh my goodness. Bright reds, corals, and oranges. And nudes! I have yet to find a nude lipstick that works well with me.
Least Flattering eyeshadow: I’m not a very huge fan of warmer colors. I would rather stick to cooler ones. Even though I own quite a bit of both, bronze-y makes my eyes have a creepy look to them compared to taupe.
Same here! Everyone tells me to do amber shadow for my blue eyes, but it looks horrible with my skintone.

Least flattering blush on you? Almost all of them LOL. I can only seem to do yellow based pinks and pinky-plums. Even rose toned blushes seem to make my cheeks look ruddy and slightly sunburned rather than blushing.
Least flattering lipstick on you? Light nudes/beige make me look like I’m on my deathbed.
Least flattering eyeshadow on you? I find it really hard to pull off grey and very grey leaning taupes even though those shades are thought of as neutrals. Those colors just seem to emphasize any dark shadows under my eyes which is definitely not something I need given my constant undereye circles.
Makes me sad since Pistol and Verve are such gorgeous shades in my Naked 2 palette, but when I try to create a look using them, it usually looks pretty bad on me.

Least flattering blush on you? Anything too bronze. It usually looks like I have a fake bake because I am so fair.
Least flattering lipstick on you? Again, anything too bronze (especially is it’s heavily frosted, ick!)
Least flattering eyeshadow on you? Again…bronze…not that I don’t like bronze, I guess I just feel odd wearing it since I am so fair…which kind of makes me sad because I think colors like MAC Amber Lights are gorgeous! I just feel like they are pulled off better on more tan/dark skin tones. 🙁

Least flattering blush on you? I would say anything reddish, just because I have red spots on my cheeks and if I don’t conceal them well enough, they will pop out more
Least flattering lipstick on you? Anything pink (only very loud pinks look good on me) and pastel like. My lipsticks have to be loud and vibrant other wise I don’t look good.
Least flattering eyeshadow on you? I can’t think of any right now just because I haven’t experimented with eye shadow too much, I’m more like a lipstick kind of girl.

Least flattering blush on you? I haven’t found one that I truly didn’t like. It is very possible for me to overdo blushes with red undertones and look sunburnt, though. Stereo Rose comes to mind!

My coloring is light skin that is yellow/olive based. I have very little pink/red tone in my skin. I’ve got dark green blue eyes.
Blue based pink blushes make me look sickly as well as to dark neutrals. Blue based pinks and purple lipsticks do not flatter my pale skin. A dark slightly blue based red makes everyone’s teeth look whiter but I must be wearing a full face of makeup to pull it off.
Blue based purples and pinks eyeshadows drain all life from my eyes. Warmer (more green) teal blues I can pull off when I have a tan but not when I am pale.

Least flattering blush on you: Peach and light/baby pink, I think!
Least flattering lipstick on you: Most nudes! They either erase my lips or make me look like I’ve been making out with a tub of flour.
Least flattering eyeshadow on you?: Colorful ones, eek. Unfortunately, black doesn’t look too good on me either, because it makes my tiny eyelids look even tinier. :[

Over years of playing with makeup I have realized there is almost no shade I absolutely can’t pull off. I think it is a matter of the tone of the color you wear and the balance with the other colors you are wearing. I have really challenged myself to wear colors I have always avoided like blue eyeshadows and peachy/orange blushes. As a result I have really been able to expand my makeup stash and continue my love affair with makeup without getting bored.

Least Flattering Blush on You? Peach! Which is very disappointing. Everything that has the possibility to turn orange, does.
Least Flattering Lipstick on You? Any light pinks. My lips are naturally pigmented kind of an apricot/red color. I’m just too used to my natural lip color to find baby pinks pretty on me.
Least Flattering Eyeshadow on You? Purple. Ugh! Which doesn’t make any sense because it’s supposed to make my eyes practically glow. Unless it’s a BRIGHT purple, I look like I got rocked in the UFC. lol
Skin tone/Coloring: it varies between a yellow base and olive. (I tend to photograph much darker than I am)
Least flattering blush? Any berry color. Oh my gosh…horrible lol.
Least flattering lipstick? Nudes. I look dead!
Least flattering eyeshadow on me? Shimmers. Show up each and every line. Ugh!

Blush: Oranges, Corals, Purples; I prefer colors that look like a shade I would actually “blush”.
Lipstick: Oranges, Corals, Bright Pinks; they just don’t suit my “aesthetic”.
Eyeshadow: Warm golds & bronzes; although my eyes are brown, they’re also very cool-toned. Pastels can also look pretty bad, as my eyes (and hair) are very dark.

Least flattering lipstick on you? I recently purchased Nars Funny Face and as much as I love the color, it came off too Playtime Makeup on me! Probably because it has a slight sheen and its definitely a more blue leaning pink.
Least flattering eyeshadow on you? Anything gray, blue, or “steely”. It just comes across as dirty on me. I CAN’T FOR THE LIFE OF ME PULL OF COOL TONES IM SORRY.

Least flattering lipstick on you? Oranges don’t typically work for me, but brown nudes are the most noticeably unflattering. It’s just doesn’t work against my fair skin.
Least flattering eyeshadow on you? Mixed with the right colors, I can wear most anything, even the warmest shades, but burgundies and plums are by far the most unflattering by themselves. It looks like somebody has punched me in the eye!
NC40 medium/olive-y (Latina)
Lipsticks: most nudes don’t work for me…… Yellow-ish based pink (candy yum yum looks awful on me)
Blush: Reds…. I feel they age me
Eyeshadows: I try not to limit myself. Anything with moderation looks good.
Your skin tone/coloring: In between NC30 and NC35. Light-medium to medium with mainly yellow undertones, possibly with a hint of peach.
Least flattering blush on you? Bright, bubblegum or cotton candy pinks, ones that are light and pastel-y. Also purple blush doesn’t go so well with me either. =/
Least flattering lipstick on you? Pastel anything! Also a lot of nude colors that are lighter than my skintone make me look like I just dipped my lips in flour or chalk. 🙁 I look better in blue lipstick than I do in pastel pink or light nude brown. Lol!

1) Medium-deep tan (about a NC45 in summer)
2)Anything with pinky blue undertones. I usually opt for softer browner blushers
3)I dont wear lipstick as a rule but I suppose light pink shades would look ghastly.
4)Light pastel shades look horrid on me as a rule. Unlike most people I adore red/purple eyeshadow. As long as its blended nicely with a brown shade I think it really brings out the brown in my eyes.

Least flattering blush on you: anythin leaning to purple or orange. Not that i can’t wear orange but it’s soooo orange on me.
Least flattering lipstick on you: pale lavender and nudes. Both make me look dead.

Least flattering blush: Blue-pinks, orange-peaches like Mac Fresh Honey (yellow clashes with my skintone). And pink-brown ones make me look dull.
Least flattering lipstick: Neon colours, brown tones, pale pinks turn lavender-grey.
Least flattering eyeshadow: Stark whites like Sephora’s Alpine Summit. Makes me look old and tired. Peachy tones (like Mac’s all that glitters), reddish browns and oranges don’t work either.
Also anything that contains too much white (all pastels actually) just look chalky on me.

Least flattering eyeshadow on you- Most warm toned shadows don’t look particularly fantastic on me. For example, MAC All That Glitters is too orange on me, and a lot of the shades in the Naked palette (Half Baked, Naked, and Buck are the worst) are too orange on me.
Coloring: Super fair, neutral NC/NW 5 with black hair and brown eyes
Least flattering blush: Stuff with brown or bronze tones
Least flattering lip color: Haven’t found one yet. Anything from reds, greens, yellows, and blues have looked great on me
Least flattering eyeshadow: Anything bronzey >< or just warm browns in general. Browns has to be super super cool toned with lots of grey to work for me. Shades like UD's Naked looks orange and gross on me
Least flattering blush is bare minerals giddy pink
Least flattering lipsticks are Revlon in just enough buff and Mac freckle tone

Least flattering lipstick on you? Anything that is “true Red” Pink Red and barbie pinks, look awful. not worked out why yet.
Least flattering eyeshadow on you? Burgundy eyeshadow no matter what warm or cool, makes me look like i got punched out.
oh FYI, my skin tone is MAC NC 30, so neutral cool according to MAC shading scheme, but warm according to any makeup artist that has laid eyes on me. do i say warm or cool?
