I can’t wait for a review of these! I’m really curious to see if there are any differences between these formulations and the originals. I also am really interested in the Violet shade… crossing my fingers that it’s a winner!

Wow, it’s cool that they’re repromoting some of the paint pots from the ChamPale collection (I got, sort of loved but ended up returning Dangerous Cuvee; I hope I can resist the urge to buy it again – it was a combo of a too sheer base and too coarse glitter). I might try Vintage Selection or Chilled on Ice but first I’ll want to compare them to the Benefit CCEs that I have.

Lark Avatar

The Holiday 2011 ones look the same. Champale is hard to tell without swatching, but if they messed up the one I’ve been regretting for three years MAC gets another black mark on its Naughty or Nice tally. I hate it when they change stuff.

these are virtually the same as the classic paint pots. The formula has NOT been changed, it has simply passed the required testing to be labeled “Pro Longwear” and you know MAC is all about Pro Longwear right now 😛 😛 the repromoted colors look the same as they did before. I’m excited for the re-launch of Let’s Skate, that was one of my favorite paint pots.

Hmm, if they were going to repromote some paint pots as perm items, I wish they’d added in the Posh Paradise ones or some of the other past limited shades (or even past perm shades). The glittery ones are not the best IMO and once you have one you probably don’t need the rest. Oh well, maybe more shades will be added on later- it’s good to see the paint pot range growing again at least! 🙂

These are available online now and I’m very tempted. I want the purple and green one, but I’ll wait to see these in person. Mac has been too iffy to buy site unseen. I don’t think Frozen Violet can compare to Armani’s Purpura or Chanel’s Illusoire, which I have and love. I may break down and get Epatant instead.

I bought five of these paint pots and to tell the truth I like the fact that they have a shimmer. My paint pots get used to death so I’m thrilled that I got to purchase new ones.

Nicole Avatar

Oh no, I bought Dangerous Cuvee when it was previously released. And I was so disappointed, because it creased fast and I wasn’t able to apply an even layer on my lid.

I hope MAC worked on the formular and I am looking foreward to read the first reviews.

I have Chilled on Ice from a past collection and even when it was new, it was pretty awful. It looks terrible on the lids- it’s just random flecks of gold glitter. It was always a good primer, but I eventually stopped using it because it was so ugly on my eyes and now it’s gone mushy.

Claire Avatar

i’m kind of intrigued by vintage selection… i think i’ll have to try these out at the store but i’m fairly certain i’ll end up with at least one of these bad boys! 😀

Neta Avatar

ooh I missed out on “Let’s skate” from last year’s holiday collection and been thinking on ordering it on ebay or something, but now they’re gonna repromote it?? awesomes!!

Giselle Ibarra Avatar

Love love love paint pots. Just bought Lets skate, vintage selection and one more i forgot. but they are so great. I love a product i can just use my fingers with. Now as for them being pro longwear i have to see their longevity.

Erin Avatar

These are the exact same formula. It’s just a name change. Nothing new, other than the two new colours. These aren’t replacing the current colours. They’re just an addition to the current permanent lineup.
