Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color ($29.00 for 0.11 oz.) was a formula that debuted and just didn’t make it to my radar on its initial release–if there is one category that never, ever sleeps and is impossible to keep up with, it’s all things lip; I easily have thousands of lip colors that I’m behind on.

When Bobbi Brown had a 25% off promotion last week, it seemed a fitting time to dive in and check out this formula (though I ended up price matching at Nordstrom as I found out Bobbi Brown has a 14-item maximum, #beautybloggerproblems). Here are swatches of the 21 shades that I bought…

Nice! I’ve had Ruby on my wishlist for a long time, since I swatched it at Sephora ages ago. (I have to finish several lipsticks before I can buy any more.) I hope it gets a good grade! This formula is completely up my alley.

I have Ruby and I LOVE it! The shade is perfect for me (I’m approx NC27 or CoverFX G40 and very pigmented lips). It looks “worn in” and not “overly done” right when you put it on. If you want a just a touch of natural color, wear it over any balm and the color looks super believable (MLBB)!

I’m more like NC20 so I don’t think it would be MLBB on me but that’s fine! I’m glad to hear you like it, seeing Christine’s swatch reminds me of why I wanted it in the first place.

I love, love, love the crushed lip formula. I don’t have quite enough tubes to have #beautybloggerproblems, but I have quite a few. On me, they give plenty of color without appearing too “done”, and leaves a nice stain when the lip color wears off. Telluride is my favorite – lots of color without being too dark. I look forward to Christine’s review!

I bought two of these during the last Sephora sale: Babe and Cherry and I love them both.
Cherry is a beautiful pinkish-red (it pulls a bit cooler on me than on Christine). The bullet looks darker but as you can see from Christine’s swatches, that’s not the case.
Babe is a gorgeous shade – perfect mixture of warm and cool on me.

Oooohmygoodness, not to be weird, but I keep feeling like it’s my personal lip wonderland in here lately. YSL Rouge Volupte? Burberry Kisses? Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color? YESSSS PLEASE.

I have and like some very opaque colors, but in general these more forgiving sorts of formulas are the ones I actually WEAR daily.

Hope these are better than the sample cards. Neither would apply with any evenness, despite using a brush. Skipping, not laying down, not even wearable. IDK. Well, if it’s me, need not bother. BB’s first range, way BITD was truly terrific.

Ooh, I love the look of these! I’ve seen them before, but thought they would be a lot more sheer. Excited to read your full review!

I didn’t find them comfortable either. They’re balmy but like that fake-out kind of balm that feels slippery but doesn’t actually moisturize. I blame the castor oil.

Good-looking basic range — nothing wrong with that. They seem a little on the creamy side for me (though not quite in glossy territory), but they look like well-done semi-sheer colors. Nothing I need of course, but … I approve. (Ruby seems like an especially nice “jeans day” red.)

I am so stoked to see swatches of these here, thanks for doubling back around! I bought Cabana and Ruby online sight unseen about a year ago after seeing an ad that the youtuber Pony did- I just loved how the texture looked. In the end I returned Ruby, it wore pretty patchy on me. Cabana is a special favorite of mine though- I often wear it when I don’t feel like wearing makeup but need a little pick me up. Now that I can see swatches I might pick up Punch or Sunset too – I love how they look in your photos!

It’s nice to see the Cushed line swatched, Christine. I have 2-3 Crushed lipsticks and it is my least favourite formula of BB’s lip range. Oddly, the brand new Crushed Liquid Lips might become my favourite of Bab’s liquid lipsticks.
