*Macy’s – MAC Liptensity Lip Liners – BOGO Free – in Galaxy Grey & Enoki (backups), Toast & Butter, Double Fudge, All Dressed Up, Cut Ruby. Sadly, I think these are being DC’d as they are disappearing from retailers sites, even MAC’s, and there were some more unique colors too
*Weekend – cray busy, have plumber coming by, then swim class, then family dinner
*Horses & Dogs
My Christmas stuff isn’t up but I don’t yet have it all packed away to storage yet ?♀️
Haul/Rediscoveries: Last week I hauled a bunch of LIT Glitters and I’m still working my way through those haha. I also picked up Stila Boheme Shimmer and Glow eyeshadow on clearance at Nordstrom Rack last week. Best recent rediscoveries were NARS Oaxaca eyeshadow stick and Cap d’Ail lip liner.
Weekend plans: I got the weekend off for my partner’s birthday. She and I are going on a weekend trip to the Olympic Peninsula. We’re staying at a little motel we like that’s located a little off the highway outside of Port Townsend with chickens and goats. We’re going to antique shop and stroll around Fort Worden, the deactivated military base where The Ring was shot! We went once before but we’re happy to go again, it’s incredibly eerie and cool. If there’s time we might go on an easy hike.
What’s your favorite animal?: I love camels too! I’m interested to see whether their milk becomes more common in skincare! I also love hippos, bats, and aardvarks.
That sounds like an awesome weekend! 😀
Enjoy your weekend and happy birthday to your partner. It sounds like a fabulous place to celebrate.
That sounds like a great way to celebrate. I hope your partner has a lovely birthday.
You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers on Wednesday!
Yay Mellan! So glad to hear that you are doing well, because your Fur-Mom needs you, Bud! ?
Haul: NOTHING. And that feels so freeing!
Weekend plans: Baking a GF chocolate cake, doing my hair, tending to my nails which are now in horrible shape due to my lackadaisical treatment of them. And…getting everything in order for Wednesday’s cardiac cath. Oh boy! ?
Favorite animal? Cheetahs for their grace, beauty and agility. Bats for their unique beauty and what they do in the way of pollination (tequila, anyone?) and pest control. Squirrels for their industriousness, playfulness, cuteness and intelligence. For a pet, though; Felines!
I will be thinking of you Nancy on Wednesday and hope it all goes well.
Congrats on your no buy – I am sure you have lots to play with nevertheless.
Best of luck with your cath – let us know how it goes! :-*
Thank you both Genevieve and CeeBee, as well as all the other readers who have shown me a ton of support and kindness last FFHF, too. The waiting is the hardest part of it, because it’s quite the anxiety inducer, really. I will definitely let you all know how this turns out.
Good Luck on Wednesday, deep breaths. I’ll have to look up the the bats and tequila lol!
Good luck with the cath procedure! Praying all goes well.
Haul/Rediscoveries: I went into Sephora intending to pick up just one LipStories, but then I spotted the $12 Amuse Bouche Liquifieds and came out with Braised and Supreme instead.
Weekend plans: It’s 6ºF here, so hunkering down. I think I’ll start a new knitting project and work on that while we finally get around to watching Season 3 of Man in the High Castle.
What’s your favorite animal? Manta Rays. I could sit and watch them for hours.
This is not quite on topic, but your recent posts on Mellan have made me realize just how long I’ve been following your blog. I feel like I remember him as a young dog not long ago.
I think I started reading about 10 years ago, possibly more. Back when I was a teenager just starting to become interested in makeup. Now I’m closer to 30 than 20 and for the last decade, your blog has pretty much been the first page I visit in the morning and the first place I check for reviews of anything I’m interested in buying.
Thank you for all of your hard work over the years!
My pleasure, J! Mellan is about one year younger than the blog 😉 He has been here for awhile!
Haul: Youth to the People Glow Oil (or whatever the name is). I have a lot of really first rate facial oils that I love but I think this is the best one of them all. Rediscovery – Urban Decay Chase and Deeper eyeshadows from the 15h Anniversary palette, and GOSH Metallic Brass eyeliner (it used to be my favourite until Sephora Cappuccino and Diving in Malaysia shoved it aside) I have used it for several days this week and I’m so glad I purchased backups as GOSH is no longer available at Shoppers Drug Mart (it got pushed out by Nude by Nature).
Weekend plans: MIL’s 94th birthday was postponed from last weekend because of the weather so we’re hosting it this weekend and roughly 30 or so of my in-laws, nieces, nephews and greats will be descending. I’m not all that thrilled, to be honest – too many people in a confined space and we still have a lot of mess from the roof leak and subsequent repairs that we need to deal with so the house is a bit of a tip…but it’s family, right???
Favourite animal (setting aside Golden Retrievers and Irish Wolf Hounds) – it would be the donkey. My daughter adopted a donkey and is a member of the donkey sanctuary in Guelph, Ontario. We have been there several times and these creatures are the most lovely, docile, interesting and maligned of animals.
Best of luck for your MIL’s 94th birthday celebration and it’s wonderful that all of you can get together to celebrate this milestone. I am sure your family won’t mind the ‘mess’ and if they do, then bad luck!
I hope everyone is helping with the catering…..
I think the UD 15th Anniversary palette was UD in its heyday – those two shades Deeper and Chase are timeless. Beautiful all round colours.
????:
*ColourPop — It’s My Pleasure Palette and Said & Done Velvet Blur Lux Lipstick trio.
*Devinah (35% off sale) — Somewhere Over the Rainbow Bundle Set.
*Revolution Beauty (sale) — I Heart Revolution Chocolate Vault and I Heart Revolution Chocolate Heart set.
*Nordstrom — Chantecaille Philanthropy Cheek Shade in Bliss (Butterfly). I blame Deborah S. for that one. 😉 Dior Diorskin Nude Luminizer Lolli’Glow Powder Limited Edition in Pink Delight.
??????? ?????: Not sure, other than the usual chores and shopping.
????’? ???? ???????? ???????: Tigers. They’re magnificent.
Add to Haul — I managed to get a three pack of Wet n Wild Reserve Your Cabana from Amazon for when mine runs out.
Christine: I’m very happy that Mellan is doing so well. I’m sorry I didn’t read the photo caption till today. It’s been a kind of nuts around Casa Runyan.
I totally understand, Rachel! This year has been crisis after crisis on my end. Hope you get some breathing room soon!
That Chantecaille Butterfly shade is gorgeous and it would so suit you Rachel. I just looked it up.
Thank you! I had to look it up when Deborah mentioned it. The color and the cause were both too good to pass up.
Haul/rediscoveries: No haul. I rediscovered my old Too Faced eye shadows during my destash though!
Weekend plans: We’re heading downtown tomorrow to go to the Art Institute and have a dinner reservation with some friends for restaurant week.
Favorite animal: Bat, elephant, alpaca, peacock.
Haul: I got Fresh’s new Orchid balm, Cassava from Bite, and a few point perks from Amore Pacific and Clinique.
Weekend: I need to start working on taking down my holiday stuff but I’m looking to do brunch and some out of the house stuff so who knows.
Fav animal: I couldn’t choose! Probably horse?
Love the report card news! I wish I had a copy to put on the refrigerator. He is absolutely the finest, bestest boi. (Well, he’s a social media star, after all.)
YesStyle: waterbased skincare, all stuff designed for anti-inflammation. S/c is not in my low buy, but it may become so, if the rheum derm gets control of whatever it is. Aside: my ‘Double w/Greg’ (upper and lower endo) was the best ever. It took >7 mos to get it done, but a seriously excellent physician. Odd, but great results. One weird thing: the hospital deleted my med records, and I know why. CYA. A doc messed up by failing to order a test, and made a rude comment that I heard. Since I had to redo the test, wound up with two large not covered bills….that mysteriously disappeared, as did the dunning. They effed up and they know it. I might do something about it, might not. Made contributions to MSPCA and NWF to offset 2 orders. CP counts…the low buy is color cosmetics. Colored mascara and a few liners. So glad they readdressed their liners. Knowing CP, those could be instant sellouts, so I grabbed ‘em. I did a C/C (compare/ contrast) on YS vs Amazon for certain s/c products and prob will wait on the Amazon. Plans: been on a roll/tear at home and will continue. Work tonight> mgr messed up my schedule for 3 weeks, but no matter. Day job was ok. The other therapists are quitting in droves. Some centers are left with 1/ me, speech, out of the 3. Does not augur well. Animal: aside from dogs: frogs, toads, all herps, and naughty/contrary ones, like goats, cormorants, crows, rats and mice. The warm, fuzzy, and powerful all have champions. I’d rather help with chytrid disease.
OMG – you really have been through the wringer with your medical records – and how awful that the doctor made a rude comment – how unprofessional is that? I think I would write a letter to the hospital admin about all that you’ve been through.
Thank goodness your results have been positive.
It’s interesting. Not the same issue. The deleted records are from my staph infection. And the scoping was scheduled there, instead of the GI’s suite at their place, bec. they thought I needed a licensed anesthesiologist. didn’t. Because I have had so many issues, I did not want to use Propofol. Wanted same old, same old, and got it. Sometimes you know your body better than a bunch of new docs. I would not mind having the MD censured, bec I still suffer from the staph. But, in a way, he was right. I DID get something to go up the nose…… mupirocin/bactroban, but it has done virtually nil in ~18 mos. However, he’s a pretty good ER doc, and I really do not want to tag his malpractice insurance. He is valuable to the staff and to patients. I have lots of documentation that could screw him, but the hospital withdrew their ridiculous charges. So, maybe I am still ahead. Everyone needs a succession plan, if their doc retires or cuts down the practice. If I still had the same PCP, none of this would have happened. To relate it to the blog, the staph triggered the inverse psoriasis, which has not only been painful ad unrelenting, but has given me a host of ‘unearned’ facial lines, that hurt, sometimes itch, sometimes bleed. That explains my research on anti inflammatory skin care. Nobody needed to know any of this. Sorry, not sorry. Some days, you just have to vent.
Oh my gosh,KJH. Those medical “professionals” seriously put you through some very unprofessional BS! I hate it when that happens. Crap like this boils my blood and makes me so angry. Similar lack of professionalism presented itself in both my prenatal and birth reports of my son Kyle, I believe in order to cover their own arses had my husband and I decided to sue them for negligence and serious malpractice. Also, in the first lower GI performed (very traumatic) to confirm Crohn’s Disease. I’ve forgiven, but I haven’t forgotten. I am so dang sorry that you were put through all of this unnecessary stress, their lack of professional ethics and treatment, plus the added rudeness. You most certainly did NOT deserve that.
Staph infections are simply shocking the way they affect people. My youngest son, when he was born, was the first to contract a staph infection from the hospital and the antibiotics he was given did not work. It took a week or so for the right ones to be given and then the infection had a hold on him. It absolutely screwed up his immune system for a long time. He was prey to all kinds of infections for the first couple of years of life and was hospitalised a few times because of the severity of his throat infections and tonsilitis. It was a nightmare.
So I can get that you have ended up with some shocking psiriasis – which is just horrible. I am glad you have decided to ‘vent’ so we know what you are going through. I also get why you are not proceeding on the doctor too.
But the hospital should not have deleted your staph infection record. You would have to wonder how many other patients at the time got this as well.
Stay strong and I am saying a few prayers for you.
Wow, that doctor and the records deletion is highly unethical. I’m sorry you have to deal with that BS.
Haul/Rediscoveries: ABH eye shadow singles
Weekend plans: To get over this nasty cold I’ve come down with.
Favourite animal: Besides cats and dogs, I love owls, dolphins, horses, wolves and albino raccoons.
Hope you start feeling better soon, Caroline.
Haul: Melt’s Blue Stack. Terrific Rouge by Terry red lipstick on sale at Net-A-Porter. Never tried Melt’s Stacks or By Terry lipstick before. Hope they turn out good.
Weekend Plans: Wash my hair and chill, I have birthday gifts to collect from MAC and Sephora. Want to browse at Sephora and maybe sample some concealers. I have several Sephora gift cards but I’m waiting for something special to spend them on. Was hoping they’d get Viseart’s Coy palette soon.
What’s your favorite animal: I love most animals but dogs have a special place in my heart. They are so loving and loyal.
Haul/Rediscoveries: While I’m on low-buy, I have two indie makeup subscriptions, Hello Waffle and Notoriously Morbid. The former arrived earlier this week, and Notoriously Morbid arrived today! Hello Waffle gave me lots of greens and earthy tones, which I loved. Excited to see the Notoriously Morbid’s.
Weekend Plans: An art show today and salsa/cumbia dancing tonight for a friend’s birthday. Tomorrow, two of my housemates are having a rummage sale, so will help with that. Then tomorrow evening, I’m meeting up with a friend I haven’t seen in a while, and potentially going to a merengue event! Sunday, brunch at my classic place and some reading/writing time.
Favorite animal: It’s basic, but I love labradors and huskies 🙂 big, soft dogs are my weakness!
I am so pleased about Mellan’s medical report.
Haul/Rediscoveries: Nothing this week. I am still thinking about the Viseart Coy palette but will I really wear pastels?
Weekend plans: Visiting the Wynwood neighborhood in Miami where there is supposed to be some interesting street art. We are on vacation.
What is my favorite animal? Gorillas are so beautiful. I like elephants also. It’s about their sense of family and community.
Oh yes, I love gorillas and elephants too. They are both such intelligent and aware animals who have a strong sense of family.
I think it’s a wise decision of yours to reflect upon the purchase of the Coy palette. If anything, you could always dupe your favourite shades (or the ones that you would actually use) as singles.
WOO HOO Melan. Way to go on the lab work and free treats!!
Haul: My no/low buy is still pretty much on track. I did pick up one lipstick off of Mercuri. I am running really low on my MAC Party Parrot which is LE and haven’t seen it around on sites, for awhile. I saw two on Mercuri and while one was $75 dollars (insert expletive here for gouging people), there was one for $20 and had only ever been swatched. Too good to pass up considering I may never see it again. At some point, all the hoarded lipsticks are going to be gone and I will never see this one again!! I have not ordered my skin care yet so that will still be coming up and I think I am ready to commit to some Sydney Grace e/s’s after drooling over Christine’s looks lately. I am going to be judicious in my selection, though.
Weekend plans: We are experiencing a heat wave here in Montana, or what passes for one in the mountains in winter time. I am pretty worried about our snow fall this year as it has been way below normal down in the valley. Our local paper says that the high mountain pack is on par and so I am going to try not to worry about it. I do appreciate that I haven’t had to plow out the driveway or shovel snow off my deck.
Favorite animal: This is a tough one because I have so many animals that I love and so the easy answer would be to say cats, as that is what I have at home. I love otters so very much and am always tickled to see them playing in the streams here or even just crossing the road. A year or two ago, I got addicted to watching the “April” cam at the zoo waiting for the baby camel to be born and then I went to following several kitten rescue channels and now I am seriously addicted to watching the Rhesus monkeys on Hong Kong island but only two of the videographers. I am not into that whole Cambodian monkey business which is really just crazy. But anyway, this particular channel follows a couple of troops that reside on “Monkey Hill” in the outskirts or HK. The baby monkeys are just so cute. Undoubtedly I will find another animal when I grow tired of watching monkeys.
Hauls – Armani Ecstasy Shine Lipstick Holiday Edition 203 Leather Excess which arrived yesterday. Waiting on the arrival of the Chantecaille LE Polar Ice palette and Lip Veil in Moabi. I passed on the Lip Cristals for now; the colors didn’t really speak to me. I’m still keen to try the new Armani matte lipsticks, but need to go see them in person to pick a color.
Weekend Plans – despite best efforts, I got my husband’s flu so rest and tea is all that’s on the agenda.
Favorite Animal – Foxes, hands down.
My son has a bad case of the flu – even though he had the flu injection earlier on last year. Apparently it’s a different strain. It is awful, so you really do need to rest and drink tea. I hope you feel better over the coming week.
Thank you Genevieve! My husband has been down for a week already; he tried to go back to work at the fire house today, but I think it was too soon. It was inevitable that I was going to get it myself.
It”s better for him to stay at home – Nicholas tried to go back to work last week and they sent him home once he started coughing. Nobody wanted to go near him!.
I hope you’re starting to feel better today.
Haul: Kate Somerville Hydration Warriors Kit and I got a gift box of freebies with a Goldfarb eye cream, DE Jelly Cleanser, UD lipgloss, Bobbi Brown primer and a mini NARS Orgasm blush, which is super cute and since I have a full size one already, plus the Foreplay palette, will be a gift for my Mum, who just found out she doesn’t have lung cancer (yay!) but has a piddly little antibiotic resistant bacterial infection instead (boo!).
Weekend plans: Three day weekend for me, but I have absolutely no plans to do anything productive, I’m going to catch up on my ice hockey and make butter chicken from scratch and maybe some chilli cheese zucchini fritters.
Fave animal: Otters and mongooses and rock hyraxes and any other little fuzzy cute murder-bunny type things. Except ferrets, ferrets can GTFO.
What great news for your mum CeeBee – I hope the doctors can find an antibiotic that can treat her lung infection. It must have been a great relief to all of your family, especially your mum. I think she will like that palette – a treat is definitely needed at such welcome news.
Butter chicken from scratch is so yummy.
Yes, very relieved 🙂 She’s on 2 different types of antibiotic while they culture some scrapings from her broncioscopy but the docs seem pretty confident it’s treatable with long courses of medication.
The butter chicken recipe I’m using is one from Luke Mangan and seems deceptively simply, so fingers crossed it’s good!
Thank goodness CeeBee that they think that your mum’s condition is treatable – even if it does mean she will be on antibiotics for awhile.
I’ve just looked up that butter chicken recipe and it is the same one that my daughter in law makes – so good.
Haul: I picked up a set of reusable bamboo velvet remover pads because I was disgusted by the amount of cotton circles I was going through! So far they’re working well for removing makeup, so I will be interested to see how well they hold up to being washed and reused.
Rediscovery: Tarteist Lip Paint in “Birthday Suit.” I always ignore it because it looks too pale in the tube, but it’s a really good nude on me!
Weekend plans: Tomorrow we’re going to meet friends and friends-of-friends for dinner, then see a horror-themed belly dance show! Sunday morning, I’m taking a 3 hour workshop with one of the performers. I expect to be basically exhausted by the end of the weekend, wish I could take Monday off!
Favorite animal: the glorious scarab. I also like maned wolves because they’re kind of ridiculous.
Our boy looks really healthy and it’s fantastic news that everything is going so well with him.
Haul – nada this week.
Rediscoveries: bareMinerals The Wild Thing quad – such beautiful summer shades.
Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick in Ginger – perfect ginger shade.
Weekend Plans:
Friday – our hottest day since 2009 – 44.5 deg C = 112.1 Fah. Thursday was over 40, with our night time temp hovering around the 30 deg C mark. Olivia, our granddaughter, started swimming lessons and so I had Lachlan, the nearly 3 year old, in the toddler pool and then we spend a long time at the pool. They came back to our place for a sleep and a play. Later on we all went out for dinner at a local hotel with a playroom.
Our son, the daddy of our grandchildren, has got a really bad flu. He had the flu injection earlier on in the year and perhaps his immunity has worn off. In the newspapers it has stated that there has been a spike in flu outbreaks this month. So he has spent the week at our place recovering, with one or the other of the kids with him.
Lachlan had his first trip to hospital, via ambulance, MICA team and sirens due to croup last weekend. He has been so often that the emergency team at the local hospital know him well and he was able to tell the staff where to put his heart monitor pads…. They are excellent with him and are prepared to prepare whatever food he likes even in the middle of the night if he wakes up hungry. He is all better now, just a cough.
Saturday – shopping and cleaning. The weather is better but still hot.
Sunday – hopefully nothing.
Monday is our Australia Day holiday and we are having a BBQ and salads – very Aussie with family.
Favourite animal – The Beaver – I have never seen a beaver, not indigenous to our country, but I love how industrious they are, how they take care of the environment for all other animals and how intelligently they use the surrounding resources.
Second favourite would be the Platypus – a most distinct animal.
Oh Lord Genevieve, I was feeling sorry for myself for having a second round with a cold/flu. I hope everyone recovers ok in your household. And the heat on top of it! Enjoy your holiday you deserve it! Beavers are native hear in Canada and sometimes they have to move their dams because they impede the flow of water but yes they are a hard working animal.
Thank you Brenda – the heat has cooled down today, thank goodness, but it is really going to be hot again next week. I am well and truly over summer already.
We’re hoping that my son keeps his flu to himself – no one else has it at the moment.
And Lachlan is fine now.
We have La Nina here this winter in Canada (near the west coast – Alberta) so it’s not as cold and snowy as usual. I wonder if it’s affecting you down there? It has something to do with warm ocean currents. It’s enjoyable but I’m sure we will pay for it somehow in the end.
I am watching Australia day protests on our news as I write this, what a coincidence!
Yes, we have the same thing La Nina over either the Indian or Pacific Ocean and ti seriously messes up our climate making it drier and hotter – far more susceptible to wild bushfires.
As for the Australia Day protest marches – I can really see both points of view.
I hope your weather cools off. I don’t want to complain about our mild winter bringing me so many migraines because last winter we had so much snow and cold weather that it was horrendous. Next year will be interesting.
Have a wonderful Australia Day. I hope your son feels better soon. Flu shots only vaccinate for the flu strains from the previous year, so any new ones are not helped by the shots.
Poor Lachlan. I hope he recovers quickly. It must have been scary for the little guy to be in the ambulance.
The beaver is Oregon’s state animal. They’re pretty cool…and bigger than most people think.
Thank you Rachel – Nicholas is getting better and the doc does think he has a different strain. Lachlan is fine now – and he is becoming very accoustomed to the ambulance rides. It’s his parents (and nona/nono) who really freak out.
So lucky you have the Beaver as your state animal. What a fantastic animal it is.
Genevieve,
Our weather could not be more opposite. The US mid-west has been hit with hard winter over the past two weeks, and next week is supposed to be even worse. Here in Peoria, IL, we have gotten 12-14 inches of snow over the past two weeks, the snow is currently falling, and we are expecting snow, snow showers, freezing rain, and sub-zero temperatures in the week ahead. Yesterday it was 6 degrees Fahrenheit and the wind chills were 15-25 below zero. It is supposed to drop down to -17 F on Wednesday (the outdoor temp NOT the windchill). We are supposed to fly out on Wednesday to San Antonio, Texas, for our son’s Air Force boot camp graduation, but with this type of weather, flights are often canceled due to dangerous conditions during take-off and landing. I am praying for a window of flying weather that day, where we can hopefully sneak out of the mid-west undetected by mother nature 😉
I watch an Australia lifestyle and fitness vlogger (Sarah’s Day–she is so happy and adorable, she just makes me smile). Seeing the hot summer in full swing in Australia makes me so jealous. I lived in Phoenix, AZ, (desert) for 17 years, where temperatures from May through September were frequently in the triple digits (111 F and above). The hottest days I ever experienced were 124 F, which happened several times during the summer I was pregnant with my third child. I am no stranger to heat.
The influenza vaccine does not cover all strains of flu, so it’s possible your son’s flu is one of the ones that was not covered. We always laugh when we are offered the “basic” flu vaccine or the extra one. I can get the Blue Light Special or spend a few extra $$ for the improved model.
I am glad the hospital staff takes such good care of Lachlan. I wonder if there’s a medical career in his future…
Hopefully your son will soon regain his health and Lachlan will continue to improve. Enjoy your Australia Day family cookout!
Thank you Tammy
I guess the snow comes with its inconveniences…like digging out your car or to get out of your house. And the wind chill effect would not be funny at all. It’s just that I hate the heat so much… The heat in Phoenix would not suit at all…
I hope you get to see your son’s passing out parade in time. You wouldn’t want to miss it.
Yes, my son’s doc does think it is a different strain and I think he is starting to feel better now.
The hospital staff think Lachlan is the cutest person out – he has such a placid and smiley kind of personality. I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes into medicine, but at the moment he just wants to be a firefighter….
Omg, I always said when I won the lottery, I would arrange to scuba dive with platypuses. Not dolphins…and avoid the male’s poison claw. I love all the animal responses posted. With the great variety, kind of surprised no one likes naked mole rats. They’re as odd as platypuses. Donkeys, adore donkeys. The asiatic wild ass (and a Greek, long story) bears my last name in Latin. I rather envy the obstinacy and orneriness of lots of animals. I said cormorants before, and this summer, just might have seen one of your Aussies…the little black. There was a singleton, about the size of a crow, on a raft, with a big gaggle of double crest babies. He looked like a dwarf. None of the Brit birds (we get European vagrants near Boston) are small enough. @1976, there was a Ross’s gull, which is a bit bigger than a robin, with a pink breast, and he’s from Siberia. So it might have been a little black. People came from around the globe to see him…or her. The news about the Aus heat has been frightening, and Boston has been no better than Peoria. It took 2.5 hours to get the ice off my car, and the engine thermometer NEVER got to full heat, to and from work. The feels-like temperature was like upper Canada. These contrasting weather patterns remind me of the Robert Frost poem Fire and Ice. Hope all get well and stay well. Esp Nancy, with the CC, which I had already felt relieved about, wrongly.
Haul/Rediscoveries: Dominique Cosmetics Berries & Cream (Christine, will you be reviewing this? I like it so much more than Lemonde), Oribe texturizing spray, and my Lucky Bag will come soon.
Weekend plans: Trying to figure out what to wear to Cher on Tuesday … clean my room.
What’s your favorite animal?: Whales! I love whales, I think Star Trek inspired that.
Aww, so happy he’s doing well, those eyes get me every time.
Haul/Rediscoveries: Kevyn Aucoin the Volume Mascara, my hairstylist complimented me on my eyelashes today wearing it.
Weekend plans: I have another cold, I need to stay away from the grocery store every time I go I come home with a cold. My husband is away so I’m just going to sleep and hopefully get better. He told me I shouldn’t have bragged that I haven’t had a cold in years, I’m being paid back for that comment big time!
What’s your favorite animal?: I love anything in the cat family, lions, tigers, cougars, they move so gracefully and they’re fur is soft.
Brenda,
I rest better when my husband is out of town. I think it’s because we are both such busy people by nature, and we become even more active under each other’s influence.
Hope you feel better soon!
What a great late holiday picture I missed of him!
