Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Love this time of year and seeing all the favorites!

I don’t want to choose between Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion… I think that each year I’m voting randomly between them. 😆

In my opinion there should be only one entry for Physicians Formula Eye Booster, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, Fenty Flyliner and Stylla Stay All Day Eyeliner 😆 … they’re basically the same thing for me (best eyeliner), just that one is drugstore and the other 3 I can get as mini for free (or perk points) on Sephora.

I will always vote for the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon; it’s the only make-up product my mother wears nowadays, and if even she likes it, I know it’s good.

On high-end mascara I almost didn’t know what to vote… Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash will always be my high-end favorite. I tried some of the mascaras on the list and I was actually underwhelmed by all. Maybe BAD Gal Bang and Perversion are decent options (aka I won’t mind getting a sample for free), but the others were merely acceptable especially considering the rave and hype some have around them; I mean… even BAD Gal Bang is an OK mascara, but it advertises as volumizing and it gave me no volume (although it defines and lengthens well, a decent option for a natural look).

My heart was racing while I made my selections. The right brands were in the right places. Burt Bees was there. Maybelline Lash Blast was there. ColourPop was there. Awesome!!!!

I was excited to see Sydney Grace on the list! And I really wish I could pick both Sonia G and Wayne Goss brushes! The Sonia G edged ahead because of their unique shapes. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s answers; I always come away from this with a list of new products to try!

I was suprised that Nars Laguna Bronzer wasn’t there… Have you heard of P. Louise basepro primer it’s been popping up everywhere, has a massive following on Insta with people like jeffree star, I just ordered some to see if it will replace my Mac paint pot (because I want something that won’t tug at my now aging eye area and a thinner consistency but opaque unlike UD’s).. I would love to see your review on it as so many beauty gurus are using it and they have massive sizes in the universal shade!! Hope you do a review Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Milk cream blush and Sisley powder blush (the OG L’Orchidee) are my HG cheek products. I’m kicking myself for not nominating them. :’(
Doing this made me realize how many products I *don’t* actually use, though I’ve worried that my collection is way to large. So that made me feel good, lol!

P.S. I had no clue the Dior Face and Body was so huge. I tried it for 2 weeks and thought it was pretty middle of the road. Double Wear Water Fresh is darn near one of the most amazing bases I’ve ever tried. Poor Estée Lauder didn’t get enough love in my opinion.

Some of my favs weren’t there but I was shocked the Hourglass caution Mascara wasn’t on there it’s sooo good.

I also think the Coverfx new concealer is tops.
I had bought quite a few concealers and had some low end that were excellent.

I thought the Pat McGrath mattes were exceptional although not much variation in shades I didn’t find the shimmers anything special in fact sub par. At least Ithe 2 palettes I have. Oh well.

That was fun! I was also surprised I actually used many of the products this past year (2018). I love makeup and beauty trends but have began to purchase new @ trendy items/brands with a lot of thought and on a budget.
Pat McGrath collections were wonderful last year and, even better, affordable. I purchased the Bronze Platinum mini palette (6 colors) & have to say that her products are spot on in quality.
Can’t wait to see the results of our poll!!

I love so many of these that it was hard to choose! Best lipgloss was nearly impossible for me to pick, I love all of those! Can’t wait to see the winners 🙂

Kind of sad that KL Polish didn’t make the list. They are 12 free and last forever on my nails without chipping! The nail polish brands on this list doesn’t do that for me. ?
