Urban Decay Obsessed Lip Junkie
Are You Obsessed With Milky Pinks?
Urban Decay Obsessed Lip Junkie ($19.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is described as a “creamy baby pink.” It looks like a brightened, blue-based bubblegum pink in the tube and when you squeeze it out, but on lips, it is more subdued–more of a milky, light-medium pink with subtle blue undertones. MAC Going Casual is a bit cooler-toned. NARS International Velvet is very similar. MAC Pagoda is a touch cooler-toned and has shimmer. Tom Ford Sugar Pink is warmer.
It’s semi-opaque; there’s a lot of milkiness and creaminess, and you can see how it significantly diffuses and fades the look of my lip freckle (but doesn’t cover it completely). For something as milky as this shade, I was surprised at how well it applied–the color deposited mostly evenly, there wasn’t too much settling into lip lines. When I pressed my lips together, the product didn’t bunch up nor were little lines of product created. Obsessed wore for three hours, and it was lightly hydrating and comfortable to wear. Lip Junkies are mint-scented and flavored.

I think this color is pretty on you!
All the shimmer and color you have on in this picture look like spring time! It makes me so happy–I can’t wait until it’s warm again!
I love the lip junkie formula, and this slightly milky, but still translucent color reminds me of a jelly polish on your lips! I really like it!
I’ve never tried UD’s glosses–this looks pretty! I am surprised too that the pretty milky color wears so well/evenly! Looks great on you!
I’m such a fan of the two eye looks in one photo! I think you should start doing it OUT of the house – not just for product testing – and see if you can set a trend 🙂
Sometimes I do 😉 The greatest thing about is nobody has commented on it!
Kat von D does it (at least she did at one time), and for the longest time, when I’d watch L.A. Ink, I thought something was wrong with my TV. At one point, I was actually trying to reset the levels on my set. It wasn’t until some time later I read that she did this.
Awesome 🙂 I would think most people WOULDN’T! It’s not something I even really notice until I take a second look at the photo and go… “wait a minute…” LOL!
I, for one, would love to see you do a “day to night” tutorial on YouTube with your two eye looks… and an eye patch!
Left eye = prepared for a day at the office!
Right eye = ready for a night on the town!
One side says, “take me home!” the other, “buy me a drink first, what kind of girl do you think I am?!” Either way, with the eye patch they both say, “I’m recovering from my Lasic surgery so I can’t tell… you COULD be hot.” Seriously, what guy wouldn’t like that? 🙂
I’ve had too much cold medicine.
LOL! Oh, Dusty, there’s a reason why we all love you! 🙂
LOL! If you don’t, I just might! I need ideas for April 1st this year anyway 😉
There are times I want to marry your brain, however I’m fairly stoned on cough syrup right now so take this with a salt shaker.
LOL! Everyone is sick right now… me too 🙁
I like UD’s gloss formula, might check this shade out since milky pinks usually apply so unevenly. Love your eye makeup in this post (both looks hahaha), and the funny thing is I didn’t even notice at first 🙂
I’m not a huge fan of milky anything, tbh, so I can safely skip this. Besides, I just bought two new lipsticks and a gloss; I think that’ll do it for me for now (until Burberry launches their spring collection, of course).
I am not a fan of milky pink colors. They just don’t suit my NC30 skintone well. I’ll be skipping this.
This is nicer than I’d thought it would be, but it’s not up my alley. I’m more interested in seeing the berry shade from the new collection. 😀
This is one product I never liked much from UD largely due to the packaging. Ive gotten a few with the hole melted closed and I had to reopen it with scissors. Not what you expect considering the cost. Anyway, these are hydrating which is nice for people who hate sticky glosses. The color looks pretty on you, but I wont buy it. I think your eye makeup looks nice too. I like the way you applied it. I also have to say I love your full brows. Thánks for the review. 🙂
Thank you, Liza! 🙂
This is so gorgeous! I’ve been looking for a milky pink for awhile and this seems pretty low maintenance. It would go great for spring!
Love your eye makeup today. Each side would be great by itself (don’t know if this makes sense… what I mean to say is that if you did just one colour combination on both eyes) but put together, they juxtapose against each other in a way that’s really complimentary to each other, like they bring out the best in each other. They’re both so sophisticated and, to my eye, contain cool and warm elements. I’m definitely getting the ammo palette, even though I usually don’t like UD formulations (chunky glitter and too much frost) that much. <3…
Thank you, Tori! 🙂 With so many glittery shades, I wanted to try and get the best bang for your buck out of testing + still getting it up quickly, so I am glad you thought they kind of worked out together, haha!
Oohh I actually like how milky and translucent this is and the fact that the color applied *evenly*.
It always makes me smile when I see you with a different look on each eye. Not because i think you look silly or anything…. I just love your dedication 🙂
