Top 10 of 2012: Lipglosses

Top 10 of 2012: Lipglosses

These are ten fantastic shades of gloss that I reviewed and tested in the past year.  You’ll notice that there are a few from Bobbi Brown’s High Shimmer range, and let’s just say it was hard not to include more!

What was your favorite lipgloss from 2012?

I really wish you would have included more lip glosses with a cream finish since most of these are shimmery. Maybe next time you could have shimmery and cream categories!

My big lipgloss discovery was definitely Chanel’s. I really, REALLY like my Calypso Glossimer, but I think I’m even more infatuated with the Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss range. I’m sure there are other great formulas out there, but I’ve found that this one works perfectly on me. I own Troublant and Caprice, and I love them to pieces. I sure will get Merveille one day or another!

I’m not a lipgloss person, but the only ones that I have and love are the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Glosses, I have five of them, my favorite Fire and Sizzle. They are not sticky and they have excellent color pay off!

I haven’t bought a lot of glosses this year because I have FAR too many! My favourite is definitely Illamasqua Boost, followed by Illamasqua Stranger and the dark purple sparkly one from MAC’s holiday collection (can’t be bothered to look up the name).

Christine,

I loved the Chanel Merveille on you so much that I ordered it right away. It came on Friday and I’ve been wearing it non-stop. It’s beautiful and wears so nicely. Thank you for your reviews!

I didn’t indulge in many lip products this year, but I did get several glosses with my tarte Carried Away Holiday set. I actually *really* love these, as far as texture/feel go; however, in terms of color, they’re not so spectacular, and once applied, they all pretty much look the same. That said, I will repurchase any of these again as an alternative to lipbalm. They feel really good, have decent staying power, and are easy to reapply without a mirror. If I want more color, I can always apply over lipstick or liner.

I didn’t expect to own anything on this list but I do have Girl About Town! It’s such a happy lipgloss, I love wearing it!

Still so bummed I never found Revlon’s Rosegold though, I tried everywhere but it was always sold out :/

I love, love, love Bobbi Brown citrus. I keep it in my purse as a go-to for when I need lip color and I don’t have anything else on me. I also ordered Merveille and I can’t wait to try that out.

I keep a bunch of lip products in my purse, but mostly I go for Citrus or I think Naked Plum, the other one I keep in there. I used to keep Pink Sequin but switched it out, and I have Black Ruby in there because I went fancy one day and never took it out of my purse 🙂
