Earlier this month, MAC x PUMA’s collaboration launched!  I was originally eyeing the Crème d’Nude shade, but I was worried about how the color would appear in person: would it be pink, would it be coral, would it be peach? A lot of the shared photos on the brands’ Instagram accounts looked filtered, and it turns out, PUMA’s photos are extremely color-accurate, but I thought I’d share my shots as well in case anyone else was waffling between the colors. To me, Crème d’Nude is a muted, warm pink–definitely not peach, definitely not coral saturated enough not to look washed out.

The Sin pair also caught my eye, and I wasn’t sure how quickly (or not) the collaboration was going to move, so I figured I’d get a pair as my backup in case I didn’t like the color of Crème d’Nude.
Now, I have a dilemma on my feet (ha, ha, get it?!), because I love the look of both! They’re both gorgeous. I’d describe Sin as a deep, reddish-burgundy with a hint of cool undertones.  There’s also a vibrant, orange-red pair, Lady Danger, which I didn’t pick up.

While PUMA only has select sizes available in the shade Lady Danger, Nordstrom appeared to have all three colors in a slew of sizes. They retail for $85.00 and are limited edition.

I haven’t worn them much, as they’ve only just arrived today, but a few hours on my feet and they remain comfortable.  They fit true-to-size (I wear a size 10) for me with enough room to wear thin socks comfortably.  I’ve been looking for a pair of low-top sneakers, and one of the issues I’ve had is that a lot of them make my foot look comically long (at least, to me), and between the design itself and the monotone coloring made these look sleeker on me than I expected. That being said, the Suede sneaker is a classic from the brand, so there are lots of reviews for other editions/versions. I’ll try to remember to update this post with some more thoughts after I’ve worn them for longer!

I’m thinking about getting the nude/pink. I’d like the red ones but probably wouldn’t wear them too often because they might not go with many outfits. Lady Danger is one of my favorite MAC lipsticks. Wonder if anyone would notice that my lip stick and shoes match? Lol

Ooh, these are gorgeous! I’m such a sucker for a fancy sneaker. I’m already spending my graduation money on a long weekend in DC, otherwise I’d totally snap up Sin and Lady Danger!

Ooh! Sin looks right up my alley! I tend to wear a lot of very dark clothing, so this color would work. Good to hear that I’m not the only one out here with the big feet conundrum! Depending on the cut and design of a specific footwear brand, even a style within a brand, my shoe size runs from a sz. 9 to a 10. Another thing that alters how a shoe fits me is that my feet are flat as pancakes! My having scrawny ankles makes my feet look like clown feet.

Sizing can definitely depend on the brand AND style! I’m usually a 10 (helpful since that’s often the biggest size carried, lol, and I have never, ever been 9.5 or below — occasionally have sized up to 10.5, usually for something that feels a little narrow, particularly in the toe box), thankfully.

“…one of the issues I’ve had is that a lot of them make my foot look comically long…” I have the same problem but I’m a 10.5 or 11 (aka size waterski). I have a pair of Converse X Moschino that I love, but when I see a picture of myself wearing them, I think they fall into the “comically long” category ?.

These look so cute – especially creme de nude. I will probably pass because I have not found Puma’s to fit me very well.

The patent leather on the burgundy ones seems much more noticeable than on the pink ones. Is that true? For some reason, this makes me dislike the burgundy ones although that would normally be the one color I’d buy.

I wanted Creme d’Nude so glad I saw the comments on your page today about them being available on-line at Nordstrom. I had already picked up Sin on the Puma site on launch date; Creme d’Nude was sold out. I was bummed but I love suede sneakers and Mac Lipsticks plus the cute design like a lipstick swipe on the heel and i fell for them, had to settle for Sin by themselves; I love and own deep colors like Sin. I think I was always going to buy both anyway but CDN was my first choice. I’m obsessing cause I haven’t received e-mail confirmation from Nordstrom so I keep logging into my account to see”My Purchases!” Delivery is scheduled between 5/28 and 6/01. Sin will be here sooner. I’ve never owned any Puma kicks, excited. I would like to see you wearing both or either pair.. I would totally buy Lady Danger and rock that color also, but two pair is already more than I need or should spend that much on. I know I will regret not snapping up Lady Danger also! Ha!

These are much cooler than I expected! I doubt they will come to New Zealand, so I won’t be picking them up. Also, I completely get the “clown feet” thing, I’m a Euro size 40/41 (not sure how that compares to US size 10) and I have big ass feet LOL. You must be tall like me Christine!!

Jujubes Avatar

Thank you, that’s good to know! On the Puma site the two you bought are sold out so it’s good to know where I can still get them! 🙂

Would want to score these but I have the opposite issue. My feet are shortish and very wide. And with the psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis bit, everything kills, even if it fits. TBT, matchy-matchy, very me. But Pumas are far to narrow for these Plattdeutsch feet.

I also wear a size 10 and I look for a shoe that will make my feet appear smaller, usually by wearing a darker color as to not attract attention to my feet and also a more sleek, low profile shoe like Vans. I used to love Converse Chuck Taylors but those give me clown feet. I really adore the Crème d’Nude shade as I wear a lot rose pink tops and hoodies and feel like it would fit perfectly into my wardrobe, but wearing a light color on my foot kind of makes me nervous. I think it might be time to step out of my comfort zone and grab a pair in that color!

Right now I am wearing a pair of Men’s shoes in style Atwood. I chose it because I found the canvas not as thin as the basic Women’s pair which I have owned before and still really loved, but the Atwood has been my favorite so far. It is very comfortable and is my every day shoe. The tongue is a bit bigger and gives it that “skater” look, but not so big that it takes away from the low profile look I want.

Christina Avatar

Ooh, the color of Sin is gorgeous! That is a special one, in my opinion, but seeming as I also love pink, what a tough choice you have to make. LOL!

Sarah Avatar

I don’t know if I love MAC enough to buy shoes, but they do look cool! I’d get a pair but unless it’s faux suede it’s a no-go for me.

Sin just looks so cool, though!

Christine Avatar

MAC has a soft spot in my heart (really made me fall in love with makeup), and the branding is subtle (mostly on the tongue, which is covered by the laces for the most part) and the interior lining, so I felt like it was yeah, MAC, but not MAC MAC MAC.

Amanda Avatar

I bought the same 2 colors too!! I was so excited for these, I bought them at right at midnight on release day!! They’re awesome and a fun addition to my sneaker collection, how fun that they match my lipsticks!!
