Anastasia Eyeshadows | Now 4 for $32 / 8 for $64
Anastasia Eyeshadows: Amber, Wine, Rosette, Chocolate
Anastasia previously offered their eyeshadows at four for $40 or eight for $70, and it looks like the brand has moved to further discount those who purchase four or eight at a time; prices are now four for $32 or eight for $64.
I haven’t seen Sephora’s pricing change yet, but it is in effect when purchasing through Anastasia directly (and it includes a free 4- or 8-pan palette) and Ulta (I didn’t see any empty quads, though, so they’d have to be purchased through Sephora for $1.00). Ulta has it listed as a “deal” through 12/31/2018.

GOOD.
I like ABH shadows a lot but if Colourpop can do a shadow pan as good, if not better, for $4 then I’m going to choose them. I don’t mind paying more for premium product as long as value for money is still there but it’s becoming very obvious that consumers have been paying higher prices for fairly ho-hum product (cough, MAC, cough) for a long time.
I’m happy to pay up to $8USD for a single eyeshadow, free compacts with multiple pan purchases is appreciated too. The ABH 8 pan compact is bigger than it needs to be for my liking but they are very well made.
My thoughts exactly. Thanks, ColourPop!
I wonder if this means they’re about to be reformulated a la MUFE?
IMO they’re responding to customers buying cheaper brands with similar products, like ColourPop, Makeup Geek, Coastal Scents, etc. MAC did the same in 2016. Brands compete with each other by lowering their prices, and when there is more variety in the market, it’s not as feasible to charge double for the same thing readily available elsewhere.
As if I didn’t have enough eyeshadow for a lifetime, or more likely several, I think I’m going to get at least one quad with a few Titanium finish shades!
I like ABH shadows a lot, so am going to look at this asap. I noticed yesterday the local Macys had no ABH single shadows out any more; I assumed a space issue but should have asked. I’m probably just a little neurotic after the MUFE situation.
At this point in my life I find that it takes a really unusual shade and finish to entice me to purchase a single shadow. I have so many single shadows and unfortunately I just don’t reach for them any more. It is so much easier to pick up a palette, use all the shades you need and you are done. Sometimes when I select a single shadow that I want to use I have to spend 15 minutes looking for shades to work with that shade or for transition, highlight, etc. I do like 4 and 6 pan shadow palettes as they are perfect for travelling but again, I frequently forget to pull my own shades together to make a palette and I just go with one of my 4 or 5 pan Dior/Chanel/Lancôme palettes.
I’m pretty sure you get an empty quad if you buy online from Ulta. I bought 8 at the 4 for $40 price from Ulta and I got 2 quads. One thing I had a problem with was they weren’t offering the newer colors at the discounted price (Venice and Enchanted).
You definitely used to, but I didn’t see any verbiage about it on the product page any more!
Someone asked that very question having noticed the description no longer mentioned getting the quad compact. The answer was to contact your local Ulta. I’m guessing since they lowered the price, they are not going to offer the quads anymore. That’s not a show stopper for me, I put the singletons I have in a Z palette along with my Coloured Raine and Tarte metallic singles.
This is a fantastic idea, so that you get the shades you like and would use, rather than a ton of shades that you would never touch. Good news for ABH lovers.
Great news! I wish Urban Decay would do something like this.
Just went to check the UK site and they’ve put the price up, not down!!! It used to be 4 for £25 or 8 for £50, now it’s 4 for £33 and 8 for £65!! How is that fair?! Look like I’ll be getting them from Sephora in the future and getting the international shipping as the exchange rate works out to be cheaper!
