It was hard to narrow down, but here are my top five: Estée Lauder Daywear, Kiehl’s Creme de Corps, Clinique Mild Facial Soap, Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2, Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm

Honorable mention to eye cream in general. I don’t have an HG eye cream because I alternate between a couple different brands.

1. Jack Black lip balm. I’ve tried others but always return to this to save my very very dry lips. Thanks to Temptalia for turning me onto it.
2. Trentoinin retin A. Thank goodness for my dermatologist. This helps so much for keeping skin clear.
3. Hydrocolloid bandages in general. Best spot treatment for blemishes.
4. Paula’s Choice in general. Reliable products, great customer service. Whenever I want to try a new type of product — e.g., niamicide, vit. C, etc. — I start with PC.
5. SK-II Cellumination mask in lotion., especially in winter. My first serum, and it opened the door to me to a new world of skin products that I’d never dabbled in before. Silly expensive, so I alternate with PC version that’s ok, but I doubt I’ll ever give it up altogether.

I really want to try BIologique Recherché, I just have to find a source.

I use Biologique Reserche( Masque Vivant, P50 and Lait E.V.) and I love it! I get it online from rescue spa. They have 20 percent off on all products today.

YES to hydrocolloid bandages! Is there a particular brand or product you’re using that you like? I like the CosRX patches but would prefer them if they came in larger sizes. Ideally, I’d love to find a full face hydrocolloid mask for bad breakouts (or at least a chin sized patch).

Just saw this question — so sorry I didn’t respond earlier. I’m using up a bunch I got from Walgreens that’s since been discontinued. They’re roughly palm sized, so I cut to size as needed. I hear that Harris Teeter — a larger grocery store chain in my area — has them. Otherwise, I don’t know what I’ll do when I run out of my stock.

2. Rodan+Fields Unblemish Clarifying Toner

1. Cleanser: Consonant Natural Foaming Face Wash. Consonant is a Canadian brand and the ingredients are amazing (no parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance or colours, peg ingredients or phenoxyethanol). This is a HG cleanser and I don’t say this lightly, at least not about a cleanser. Normally, you should run away when you see “face cleanser” and “foaming” in the same sentence, at least when you have dry and sensitive skin. But, in this case, you should run towards it. The foaming mechanism is in the pump (not in the bottle), which I understand it makes a great difference (thanks Caroline H for explaining this when you reviewed Zelens brand). Well, when I was at my worse with my rosacea acne, this was the only cleanser I could use in the morning. The foam from this cleanser is so airy, soft and hydrating, that it feels like snowflakes touch your face. Ok, I stop with the poetry now 
2. Eye serums/creams: Biossance Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel applied over NIOD Fractioned Eye Contour Concentrate (I have extremely dry eye area).
3. Face mist : CV Skinlabs Rescue + Relief Spray (their entire brand is for sensitive skin; and their products provide relief from the side effects of cancer treatment and from conditions like chronic dryness and eczema).
4. Face serums/creams: DE vit. C serum; W3LL People – Bio Booster Facial Serum; Pacifica Coconut Probiotic Water Rehab Cream.
5. Body & Hair: Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant (I have Coconut Pineapple and Bergamot & Lime). This is a HG deo for me (by far better than Lavanila and Consonant). Hair – Living Proof Style Extender.

If you love the Consonant cleanser, i highly recommend their peppermint/sage body wash along with their body lotion. I also picked up their oil (can’t think of the name) for a little more hydration during the Canadian winter season (and to go under my RMS Beauty or KW foundation) Clean green.
Also, a great ‘clean’ deodorant that really works is the Meow Meow (baking soda free is the one that i use) and it’s ah-mazing!!
Josh Rosebrook (day cream w/SPF) is also a fantastic product (pricey but worth it). JR is a line worth looking into!!
PS: Happy Thanksgiving Christine!

Thank you Helen! I will try the body wash and lotion that you recommended. I’ve also tried from their DHE Mask with Manicouagan clay – love it on my T-zone in the summer. I’ve purchased during the Sephora sale their 100% Natural Skin Renewal Set for dry skin to try out more of their products (it includes 15 ml Face Cream for Dry Skin, 10ml Maximum Glycolic Meta Serum, 4ml HydrExtreme oil – I thin that’s the oil you recommend).
Noted for the Meow Meow and Josh Rosebrook! They are sold on well.ca (from where I buy so often). Well.ca has weekly sales for different brands and/or products and I saw a couple of weeks ago JR on sale. Currently, the Consonant face cleanser is part of the BF sale on Well.ca ($11CAD instead of $22), as are the S’well water bottles for the Canadians who are interested 🙂

I cannot limit this to five since I am a skin care junkie. Retin A. Glycolic acid from pretty much any brand. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum and caffeine serum. Timeless CoQ 10 and the two matryxl serums. Sunscreens that work under makeup. Dr. Brandt Needles No More eye cream that relaxes wrinkles. Murad undereye firming treatment.

Since my skincare regimen is the best for my skin that it’s ever been, it will be very difficult to narrow it down!
1.) Ole Henrikson Truth Serum, always and forever!
2.) FAB Pure Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 40 (another mainstay)
3.) The Ordinary!!! Everything I’ve tried of their products thus far, has been fantastic and actually works.
4.) A dead-heat tie between Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid Retinol Eye Serum an Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream.
5.) After using a deluxe sample of Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment Mask, I am in love with the results! It seriously shrunk my pores down to nothing and also extracted all the excess sebum and gunk from them, and I could literally see it happening!

Honorable mention (s) go to:
Boscia Exfoliating Gel, AMAZING stuff!
And also to Jack Black Lip Balm for keeping my pucker smooth and moisturized!

Cosrx low pH cleanser, Cosrx aha/bha toner >>always. Usually: Paula Omega, Cosrx AHA alternated with the ordinary azelaic, and differin. What I learned from the derm recently is that most moisturizing products can be used over differin, with a ten minute wait. Most of my non dailies are the ordinary. Since i’m oily/dehydrated the fact that they have a thinner/less rich option for most needs, e.g HA or C…they come in about three choices/densities…is a real boon. Liking the DE b hydra or the paula omega over the differin.

4. The Ordinary Vitamin C suspension

5. First Aid Beauty Skin Smoothie Coconut priming moisturizer

5 Skincare products that I am thankful for is hard to narrow down as I switch and change all the time, but here goes:
1. Argon Oil/Chia Seed Oil – whether it be Swisse’s, Sukin, Goodness or Physicians Formula. It really moisturises my skin well.
2. La Roche Posay’s Ultra light SPF 50 ensures that my porcelain complexion is not affected by the harsh Australian sun
3. Aamie Face Scrub – very mild, gentle but does the job really well
4. Cleansers – in general because I switch brands all the time, but the Essano Rosehip one was a goodie
5. Daytime moisturisers – one of the best I have tried is Olay Regenerist Day time moisturiser with SPF 30 and Dr. Lewinn’s day time moisturiser
Honourable mention to serums and night time moisturisers too.

Anne Avatar

1. Kiehl’s Crème de Corps Nurturing Body Washing Cream. I’ve been sick for about two weeks and my energy is just GONE so this is a great “at least use this” step if I don’t have the energy to throw on moisturizer.
2. Kiehl’s Crème de Corps (the original) in a pump bottle. It’s the heaviest moisturizer I own and as winter sets in it’s been amazing.
3. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum. It’s just my go-to serum and it is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone with dry skin, and especially anyone with dry and sensitive skin.
4. Burt’s Bee’s Lip Balm. It just does a good job on my lips.
5. Ole Henriksen Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub. Great for a face overhaul without having to have the energy to do a mask as I’m just all out of energy right now.

Bonus #6- Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. I don’t have the energy right now to do a mask, but my face is yelling at me for not using this one. Perfect for a face reset, and I have sensitive skin yet the only thing it does is leave it a little red for a bit after, provided I put the FAB serum and a moisturizer (usually FAB ultra repair cream) on right after.

I have discovered Korean skincare products and I have to say I’m thankful for them in general. The current five to mention:

1. Holika Holika 3 seconds starter essense with hylauronic acid. Such a difference in keeping my skin moisturized.
2. Scinic Pig Collagen Jelly Cream – use it as a night cream, very good for the aging skin.
3. MAC wipes! I am a believer that they help exfoliate my skin and, although they are technically makeup removers, they are beneficial for my skin as well.
4. All the Face Shop skincare products I tried – I liked (face masks, serums, sleeping packs, etc).
5. Mizon Night Repair Melting Rich Cream – melts into your skin and in the morning your skin looks refreshed and sorta “repaired”

3.) Image Skincare Prevention+ Daily Matte Moisturizer SPF 32
4.) Image Skincare Biomolecular Anti-Aging Radiance Sheet Mask
5.) Image Skincare Ageless Total Resurfacing Masque
