MAC Rockin’ Rebel Eyeshadow Palette is one of six “Personality Palettes” the brand is releasing for the MAC Girls collection, which officially debuts today online and at select MAC stores. I’ll be sharing sneak peek swatches of all six palettes with one per post to keep everything organized. Each palette has eight eyeshadows and a highlighter, and it seems like the formula is new as the finishes are listed as Satin Shine, Smooth Pearl, Foiled Shadow, and Creamy Matte. This is the last and final palette in the collection, and it appears to be the more colorful, vibrant palette.

This is my kind of colorway, and I think it’s pretty unique compared to other palettes on the market, but these swatches are not inspiring. I’m almost offended by how Rocking Rebel looks nothing like it does in the pan! (Green is my favorite color, I take my green cosmetics too seriously).

I bet I have dupes for most of these colors across my current collection, could be fun to try to build some looks inspired by this palette, with better-quality products 🙂

I love the look of Bikers and Babes and also Mega Moody and Bad Influence (those the latter 2 look kind patchy in the swatches) but I’m pretty sure I have dupes for all 3 of those, plus a few others in this palette that I like. The layout of the palette, though – UGH – nothing symmetrical and even the spacing is all wonky.

I wish I looked good in the colors in Rockin’ Rebel, but I don’t think this unique palette suits green eyes. But I might consult with a MAC MUA if I find it in a store, because who knows…it might work. (Any way to find out which stores have them?)

And of all these new MAC palettes, this one actually has a name I like.

I went to Macy’s last night to see it in person. The associate, who was really nice and seemed knowledgeable, actually talked me out of it, saying she didn’t think any of the blue or green shades would work with my coloring. How do you wear those shades?

I know that I must have shades like these spread out through my stash, some of which I could readily name! But; to have them in ONE place sure would be nice. This one at least doesn’t have an insulting or degrading name to it, either, making it more desirable. Although I have no problem with that Mischievous Minx name, really? But that’s just me, I suppose. Wishing like heck that I didn’t love that 1st one…as KJH says: the one that shall not be named.

I think this one has the most interesting colors, and love that bold camouflage design, but these swatches aren’t wowing me. Either the pigment looks weak and/or looks like fall out city. IDK about this “new” formula, new doesn’t always mean better

What in the world made them go with the Clinique-palette-type packaging? The cases are cute, but the shadow layout–too cutesy. Nice selection of shade collections, though–there’s something for everyone.

This was the only palette I would have considered buying, but I’m going to skip it. Do better, MAC. If you’re going to do bright colors, do bright colors. Don’t give me a green like Rockin’ Rebel and then disappoint me like this.
