Anastasia Matte Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a new, permanent formula available in 30 shades. I’ll be reviewing them over the next few weeks as I get a chance to try them, but I’ll try to get at least one review up sooner rather than later. These launch at retailers on August 1st.

Some of these, including Rouge, which really caught my eye, look surprisingly nice for matte lipsticks – not really dry or making lips look parched and showing up lip lines. I may have to check out a few of these if/when they arrive at my local Sephora.

Me too! I want to get it just for the name so when someone asks me what I’m wearing on my lips I can say in my best monotone, or most dramatic voice (depending on my mood). “Dead Roses!” The fact that it looks like it would be pretty on me is an added bonus.

How nice this came right before the NLD post. Wonder if you can do 2 sets of 3/2? That’s a rhetorical question! These look great, and the price is right. Plus, there’s a fair amount of greige indulgence….

I so wished Anastasia was sold here (Brazil)… so that I wouldn’t have to import and wait foreeeeeeeeeever to get my hands on her products.? Plumeria and Ruby. Yay!

Because of these swatches I was able to take advantage of National Lipstick Day! Dead Roses, Rum Punch and Plumeria are headed my way! Thanks so much Christine! ?

I am not a fan of liquid lipsticks so I was happy to see this release. I picked up Rosewood when I ordered my Subculture palette just to try out the formula and so far I am happy I did. The color is beautiful and the formula isn’t drying on me.

When I saw the 2 for 1 promo I decided to get three more – Kiss, Buff and Stevie.

These look gorgeous .. I only bought the Subculture palette and Bronze Liqiud Glow. I needed more reviews on the lipsticks before purchasing and to avoid dupes.

I wonder if there is any overlap with any of these and the matte colors in the Anastasia Lip Palette Vol. 1? Regardless, the swatches look pretty good and I’m loving Dead Roses.

Her lip glosses are my absolute favorites. I bought Honey and Peachy right when they launched. I tried Peachy and it was a big no for me. I was shocked. Found it dry, flat looking, color was awful on me like too pale and I’m very light. Just dreadful I hate to say. Curious to see what others think. I love her lip glosses. Perfection. These reminded me of a really bad drugstore brand. 🙁

Uh oh, Dusty Mauve and Resin have caught my eye! Love this color range, a lot of beautiful traditional favorites and some new edgy colors that are harder to dupe

I wandered onto the ABH site last night while they were offering the “buy 2 get 1 free” deal for National Lipstick Day and I decided to pull the trigger; I had Rogue, Dread, Dead Roses, Griffin, Cobalt, and Smoke in my cart, poised to check out, when my internet connection failed. I decided to take it as a sign and went to bed.

Beautiful colors. I’m excited to see how Dusty Mauve compares to NARS London Calling Powermatte. It’s cheaper, and I prefer a traditional lipstick finish over liquid to matte for most edgy (non-work) colors. Looking forward to trying Dead Roses and Buff too. As a sidenote, it’s super funny to me that they went with Dead Roses as a shade name, it seems really close to the concept of the Melt Prime Rose collection, plus they have a gray super similar to Space Cake and a light teal reminiscent of Blitzed. It’s all fair game and other brands have colors like that too, but I can’t help notice the similarities. lol

Miradan Avatar

Really curious to see what you think of these — the colors are lovely but the formula looks dry, and I’m not the biggest fan of mattes to begin with.

Just got mine today in the mail. Norvina KILLED it with this one. This is my dream matte formula. More lightweight than Mac matte and the pigmentation and longevity is insane. The packaging is so sleek I’m in love❤️
