I am just starting to experiment with green eyeshadow, and although MAC’s website calls Coquette a “greyish-taupe,” I feel it has a very definite lean toward green, which is obvious when I wear it.
As of now, I would call Coquette my favorite greenish eyeshadow to wear on my eyes. (I didn’t put it in the recommendations because I wasn’t sure it actually qualified as green.)
Armani Emeraude and Nabla Citron, also mug`s Pixie Dust. Green eyeshadows seem to be getting more popular and I`m happy there will be more on the market in the future. So tired of this red hues everywhere 🙂
I love the color green and bought MUG Venom last year – but I have never worn it out of the house! If anyone has any advice for how to use green with blue eyes without going overboard (I work in a casual office and really bold eyeshadow would not fit in), I am all ears. Or eyes, I guess.
Wear it as eyeliner. That way it isn’t too much.
I’ve been searching for an olive green that’s matte–something along the lines of that Urban Decay Bender? Or even a green/goldish color. Does anyone have a recommendation? It would be much appreciated:)
My faves are Mac Bio green and Sugarpills absinthe
It had to be Iggy from Kat von D ‘s metal crush shadows.. I was expecting to see that in the list though..
I was expecting Iggy to be in the list too.
Nars duo: Vent Glace’.
Sephora 5 color palette: Mild-to-Wild Khaki (d/c).
I have an eye quad from the Flower Beauty brand (“Secret Garden”) and it has two beautiful satin finish green eyeshadows. There are no names for the individual eyeshadows. Unfortunately, I can’t find this brand anymore here in Montreal area; WalMart used to carry it it but for some reason they discontinued it. Just wanted to mention it out there :).
MAC Lucky Green, and the long ago DCed Sprout, also from MAC. Armani Emeraude.
I adore green eyeshadows and have quite a little collection:
UD Damaged
L’Oreal Golden Emerald
Charlotte Tilbury’s The Rebel
bareMinerals Spectacular – one the best Olive shades around
Guerlain’s Les Verts
Estee Lauder’s Emerald Oasis
L’Oreal Gilded Envy
Clover by Lorac
And by looking at the recommendations by others – there are many other beautiful greens around too.
But I think I have enough……
I also should have mentioned
Dior’s 3 Couleurs Khaki – use it all the time
Clinique’s Chubby Pencil in Whopping Willow
UD Stash…I could go on.
I am having trouble finding Mascara recommendations, both in this feature (there is no Mascara item in the product type selector), and the Reader’s Choice Awards section (for both 2016 and 2017). Both of the URLs for RCA didn’t load completely for me. Editor’s Choice was fine and loaded completely. Are these areas of the site under construction? I tried both 2016 and 2017 URLs in Chrome and Firefox and the issue persisted. Am I not looking in the right places?
Sorry, Zoe – when we added these recommendations, we had to alter the Readers’ Choice Awards a bit, and almost nobody visits the page, so you’re the first to report any error. Unfortunately, it’s 7PM and since it’s a page very few people go to, I don’t want to get my developer on as an emergency to fix it, so it will be taken care of tomorrow.
There are no recommendations open at this time for mascara – that would be why! I have not opened or asked for any yet.
Thanks for the prompt response Christine, you are one of the most RELIABLE bloggers I have ever encountered. Period. Not just in the beauty realm.
That explanation makes sense. I had to laugh that I was even the first to find it; Why do people not use this amazing resource!? They are missing out. Thanks for planning on fixing it. But please do not think I am demanding it fixed immediately. You probably have more pressing things to deal with!
Mascara seems to be a blind spot in the beauty community, in some ways. It comes down to a combination of lash type and a very personal preference of desired effect. And, if I am not mistaken, there is little standardization in how it is reviewed compared to other products. Even r/makeupaddiction is falling short in this category. My search continues!
It should work now! 🙂
You are the best, girl!
The two on my radar for awhile are the KVD metal single chartreuse colored green and another by was it CP called Side of Olives or Three Olives or something Olives? Ugh I cannot recall either name! Some other favorites I actually have are…Smashbox in Serpent and Peacock, Loreal infallable #333 Golden Sage, the green color in the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette (second row, second down), the green in NYX’s avant pop palette Nouveau (bottom right corner), NYX Mermaid single shadow, the greens in the BH Foil eyes 28 color palette (there are several with no numbers). Sorry I couldn’t be more specific.
I love NYX Mermaid and Loreal Golden Sage!!
I have hazel eyes with the base colour being an army green so I don’t really do green eyeshadow since they do not do much for my eye colour or in many cases they actually make my light olive skin lean even greener. I can do green/golds as long as they are not too warm in temperature. The best in that department would be MAC powersurge kohl liner. Is it green? I dunno.. but I fiercely love this pencil!!!
I love MAC Humid, ColourPop Shameless and ColourPop Moonwalk. Highly recommend.
MAC Sumptuous Olive
Loreal Infallible Golden Sage
Nyx Prismatic Eyeshadow in Mermaid
I like Anastasia Beverly Hills Truffle Glitter.
