Becca Champagne Dream x Bellini, Opal x Jade, Rose Quartz x Seashell Liquid Crystal Glow Glosses Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Champagne Dream x Bellini
Becca Champagne Dream x Bellini Crystal Glow Gloss ($22.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is a peachy gold with warm undertones and flecks of gold, green, and pink pearl. This one was one of the more “shifting” shades in the range, as it sometimes appeared warmer and golder and pinker and peachier at other times. The base had a milky quality to it, so there was a bit of color that gathered in my lip lines, though the shiny, sparkly finish made this less noticeable from a normal viewing distance. It had semi-sheer color payoff that went on fairly evenly and lasted for two and a half hours. The formula was moisturizing while worn.
Becca describes the formula as a “mix of unique pearls blended together to create a multi-dimensional finish” with “nourishing ingredients that leave lips lavishly soft and smooth” and a “luxurious coconut and vanilla scent.” They can be worn alone or applied on top of other lip colors for shine/shimmer, but the brand did not seem to make any more specific claims with respect to pigmentation–given that they are supposed to be worn on top of products but could be worn alone, I am expecting semi-sheer to medium coverage.
In general, the formula is more like a sheer to semi-sheer gloss with moderate pearl, sometimes with more nuance and other times was more like a traditional, shimmery gloss. The formula was lightweight, thin, lightly tacky, and comfortable to wear but only lasted two to three hours. For most of the shades, I detected the scent throughout the wear but only tasted soapiness with one (Topaz x Gilt). The glosses were less shifting in their shimmer/pearl as they were just sparkly and mirror-like in shine.

Opal x Jade
Becca Opal x Jade Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss ($22.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is a soft, medium pink with warm undertones and flecks of gold sparkle and finer gold and pink pearl. There was no real shift to this one; it did not seem to change–it was shimmery and shiny. It had sheer coverage from the base color and semi-sheer coverage from the shimmer, which was moderate and noticeable. The gloss was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and lightly tacky, though I could feel some of the sparkles after an hour of wear. It wore well for two and a half hours and was hydrating.

Rose Quartz x Seashell
Becca Rose Quartz x Seashell Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss ($22.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is a light, pinky-coral with warm undertones and flecks of larger gold and lavender sparkle paired with finer gold pearl. It had semi-sheer to medium color coverage with a noticeable base color (which was more of amilky pink on my lips but will vary based on one’s natural lip color) and plenty of shimmer and sparkle. There was a subtle shift as it sometimes appeared pinker and other times appeared more golden. The texture was lightweight, spreadable, and comfortable to wear as it was hydrating and only felt the edges of the sparkle at the end of wear. It lasted for two and a half hours on me.

I think Becca overhyped these
They seem more iridescent/multi-dimensional but less “shifty.”
They should have put green pearl for the shift in the jade. Not that that’s the only color of jade; even lavender would have been nice. Green would have been a nice nod to the unusual highlighter shades.
I think they intended to do so, or they did, but it did not really translate in gloss format!
They all look so similar! Pretty but I can’t tell the difference.
Yeah, that’s the blessing and curse of sheerer products – you don’t need that many of them!
Opal x Jade and Rose Quartz x Seashell both look gorgeous, but their shorter wear time has me a bit concerned as I have a tendency to eat through lip gloss rather quickly. I will have to try them both on over my favorite mlbb lipstick to see how they look *and* feel. If neither feels quite right, there’s always MAC Sugarrimmed!
If you feel like you eat through gloss quickly, these might last a nanosecond on you!
I bought the opal/jade one and will be returning it. I cannot stand the coconut sunscreen smell even though others seem to like it. That and the feeling of glitter as this wears off is bothersome to me. More money for the new Anastasia glosses!
The reviews of these on Sephora are making them seem super fabulous compared with the reviews on the Lightchaser highlighters.I know those reviews aren’t always the best so I decided to order 1 gloss to try and not get any of the powder highlighters which was challenging to say the least.I got Champagne Dream x Bellini and I haven’t worn it yet.I wish these were more like the Bite glosses.
I think lots of these look pretty similar when on the lips. Thank you for saving us money Christine.
From the look of these glosses they seem to remind a lot of the old lip glosses Becca used to make. I think they were called “glossy lip tint”. They too were very sheer even though they came in like a ton of shades that all pretty much looked the same once on and were hard to get out of the tub. As I recall they were rather sticky too and not much to write home about compared to other Becca products.
Becca has since then come up with different instances of gloss products, but imo glosses has never really been their strong suit. So I’m not surprised about your findings in you reviews of these. They do look pretty in ther tubs though. 🙂
The tubes are cool 🙂 I think if they had packed more shimmer into them, then maybe they’d stand out more (even from each other).
Rose Quartz is nice. I still think the Topaz one was my favorite!
I actually don’t mind the way Rose Quartz x Seashell looks! I don’t love up-close if you can see the sparkle, but from farther away it looks pretty!
I wish these more of a shimmer instead of glitter. It’s too bad almost all the dupes for the one I want, Bellini, are LE.
Sad to say I’ll be returning the one I bought. It felt so gritty on the lips and I hate that sunscreen smell!
