Oh man! Lesson learned, wait for special UD collections to go on sale :/
🙁 Not on sale at Sephora here in Canada (I just took a look). It might be a delay and they’ll be marked down on Monday but then they also aren’t likely to be available in store (so many of the sale products get pulled from the bricks and mortar stores and have to be ordered on line which, as I have said so often that folks are surely sick of reading it, is NOT my preferred way to shop in the least despite the fact that I get free shipping because I’m a VIB Rouge sucker).
Darn! I hope they will get marked down on Canada soon… It was unexpected to see 30% off at all — so soon!
Stress the sucker. We all feel that way. Maybe not next year!
I’m kind of ticked off that this collection is going on sale so soon. But if I’d waited, it would have sold out in two seconds. *sigh*
I know, right, Rachel? That would be our dumb “luck” for lack of a better word. Having pulled an *almost* all-night vigil for MAC Steve J & Yoni P, but even now NOTHING has sold out. Lost sleep for NOTHING. But had I done a solid 7-8 hours of sleep, I bet it would’ve been gone when I woke up!
I’m really surprised this collection is going on sale so soon. Think it didn’t sell as well as expected, or are they just making room for the next big thing?
It’s on not sale at UD nor Ulta, so I’m not sure. Nordstrom will usually price match other retailers, and I THINK Macy’s might do that as well but am less familiar with them as a retailer.
Well, I wasn’t going to get Tenant upon realizing that my having UD Electric would possibly make having this a bit redundant, but now? $27.30? I gotta snatch this one up! ?
I got the Tenant palette the moment it launched and it’s totally worth it! I feel that it’s more pigmented than the Electric one!
This is surprising, I wonder why? The color combos aren’t really up my street even though I’m a fan of Basquiat. But on the upside, I won’t have to listen to people butcher his name or call him a “her” as they review the collection. I think of all the coverage on this, PixiWoos were the only one to be familiar with his art and pronounce the name correctly. While I appreciate trying to bring attention to his work; it’s lost on the UD demographic (at least via YouTube) and frankly got on my nerves that UD didn’t include more on the artist they were featuring.
I also saw the Pixiewoo video, it was a lot of fun, though I couldn’t pull the look off.
I think she talked about putting the art into the context or something like that. I think UD could have done more to get the interest for his work up, and “educate” us a bit.
I feel bad for those who just bought them at full price, but I’ve been eyeing Anatomy ever since your review and I’m glad I have a chance to afford it now. 🙂 I’m also tempted by the Epigram lipstick, but I think I’d better hold off — I know I wouldn’t use it until fall anyway, and I’m trying to be more conscientious about my beauty spending. So pretty though!
Those are the only 2 I got. The eyeliner is more special, imo. The lip pulls a lot more nude than sienna on me, and not def a fall specific color. But idgas, bec I wear so few ‘summer’ colors. It’s very muted on me. Get ’em, you won’t regret it.
Of course I rushed out to buy the pallette which I haven’t even used yet. I was in store at the ViB rouge event today and it was all full price

Of course they are on sale. I ordered both palettes Memorial Day and just got them in the mail 3 days ago! Oh well…
Perfect! Totally hauling! I have had a chartreuse eyeliner on my wishlist for the longest time and I actually totally forgot this collection had a decent one. At this price point, picking up a few other things too. Hesitant on the blush palette though–the afterglow formula tends to oxidize and change color on me–SOOO frustrating (bc I have three of their blushes that are just sitting around). Someone else needs to release a good dupe of Rapture so it’ll stay that color on my cheeks.
Didn’t another collection do this recently? Hope it’s not a trend that makes us feel dumb as can be. UD can’t be planning the pace that MAC and now, Lorac, have. Yeah, it was pirates that went on sale. Bad words. It’s probably a trend. tf will be next, esp. due to the high disappointment level!

Interesting. We dont even have the collection here yet. Of course it might not even make it here. I don’t think many outside the “art world” knows anything at all about Basquiat, I know I didn’t, but that’s why Google is such a goo thing 🙂
