Bali Sands

Becca Bali Sands Sunlit Bronzer ($38.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a soft, light-medium brown with warm, golden undertones and a fine, gold pearl. It had good pigmentation, though the consistency was slightly dusty, so it sheered out a bit when initially applied. The texture was very soft, silky, and finely-milled, which made it easy to work with and blend out on my skin. This was one of the less shimmery and luminous shades in the line-up, but the fine gold pearl gave it a soft, satin sheen. I expect this to work well for lighter skin tones who want a warm, more golden/yellow-toned bronzer. The powder wore well for seven and a half hours on me before fading.

The formula is supposed to have a “silky texture” with a “natural warmth.” It’s a powder bronzer that’s available in five shades–from a light-medium brown to a deeper copper-red. Overall, the texture of the formula was soft, smooth, and blendable with a couple of shades being dusty and others being well-balanced between soft and firm. The coverage was mostly opaque to opaque, so a little went a long way but the softer powder made it easy to diffuse and blend out for sheerer coverage, if desired. The formula wore from seven and a half to eight hours on me.

Bronzed Bondi

Becca Bronzed Bondi Sunlit Bronzer ($38.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a medium-dark brown with warm, red undertones and a fine, golden shimmer strewn through a more matte base. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that was very soft but somewhat powdery, but luckily, it was just messy in the pan while it applied nicely and sat well on the skin–it didn’t appear dry, dusty, or powdery on the skin at all. When buffed against the skin, the powder yielded a luminous finish that was natural and not overtly shimmery. The bronzer wore well for eight hours on me before fading.

I’m allowing myself to buy one more bronzer for the summer, and specifically a luminous one, but now I’m so torn between these Becca ones and the new ones from Hourglass. :\

You reviewed both Christine, please help! which of the two are more worth it? Becca or Hourglass?
