Burberry First Love Blush Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches
First Love
Burberry First Love Highlighting Blush ($68.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a light-medium pink with warm undertones and a soft, satin sheen. It’s a limited edition product that I’ve seen pop-up at a few retailers, though not yet at all retailers that typically carry Burberry (at least, not to my knowledge), but it seems to have sold through quickly. The formula is supposed to be “easy to blend and build” with a “luminous” finish.
The powder was soft, smooth, and blendable with just a touch of dustiness in the pan, but it blended out nicely and did not appear dusty or dry on the skin. It was rather pigmented, but the softness of the consistency made it easier to sheer out or diffuse to more of a wash of color, if desired–I just wouldn’t describe it was buildable. The blush lasted for eight hours on me before fading.

Your eye makeup looks beautiful and the First Love highlighter is so pretty!
Thank you, Lisa!
I love hearts so the second I saw this, I fell in love. Unfortunately, I have way more blush than I could ever hope to go through in the next 5 years so at almost $70, I’ll probably hold off.
You can resist 🙂
Very cute looking pan! The actual shade applied is quite pretty, too. Just not $68 pretty for me. Especially not with this many dupes that are mostly in the DS or mid end market.
There are plenty of dupes for this one!
It’s cute but $68 is ouchie!
‘Tis the way of Burberry!
Why does it have to be so expensive!!!!
Aww!
Really pretty color, but $68 seems like a lot. Edward Bess makes Full of Desire blush color which is a lot like this for less. I’ll be sticking with that.
It is pricey!
You look beautiful!
Aw, thanks Deborah!
Very pretty shade and I love your overall makeup look.
Thanks so much, Genevieve!
Pretty pattern on the pan, but nah I’m not buying it ? lol.
Good for you, Claire 😀
Love the design and concept of this – a little too pricey though!
It is expensive!
Too bad about the fragrance. A pass for me…
I hope you have something similar in your stash, Di!
This looks lovely on you!
I kind of love and hate this type of product where there are 2 colors in the same pan. I like them cos they are more visually interesting but I’m so neurotic that I fret that I will not pick up the same amount of each color and my cheeks will look different! I know realistically that the difference probably will not be readily apparent visually, but at least this time it gives me a reason not to drop all that dough!
This one is easier to use than some, since the colors are scattered throughout, so a good swirl is pretty much all you need! 🙂
I love it but had to leave it when I saw the price!
It is an expensive one!
I just love the entire make up look you put together for this, you look ravishing !
You’re too kind, Betty! Thank you!
I’d get it if the price was more reasonable, I like the color so I’ll settle for the Physician’s Formula dupe.
PF’s price is much more affordable!
This blush is such a beautiful shade of pink! It looks gorgeous on you, Christine 🙂
Thank you, Cathy! xo
How does this compare to last years release with the one large heart? Thx!
