Dandelion Twinkle

Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter ($29.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a light peach with warm, orange undertones and a luminous sheen. The shimmer used in the powder was rather fine, so it did not look shimmery nor did the powder emphasize my skin’s natural texture when blended out.

The highlighter is supposed to “impart a sheer, ultra-lightweight texture and delicate radiance” and has a “dandy daydream fragrance” (code for floral scented, though it was subtle to my nose). The powder felt soft, finely-milled, and was prone to kicking up some excess powder within the box, though the way the packaging was set up meant that it would be hard to lose that excess (so there was no real product loss). It blended out easily on the skin and gave my skin a luminous sheen. The pigmentation was semi-opaque, buildable or easily sheered out for a less intense sheen, which made it more versatile to me. The highlighter wore well for eight hours on me. I did notice that there was not much product in the box–only 0.10 oz. whereas other products in the same type of box-style packaging contain anywhere from 0.17 oz. to 0.28 oz.

This looks gorgeous on you! I haven’t been into Benefit for so long, but I still love my cream shadow in Birthday Suit and mourn the loss of my Moonbeam highlighter. I think I’ll check this out! Do you think you’ll be reviewing the new Hoola light bronzer? That also has me intrigued….

Yes, Benefit seems to be sneakily decreasing its product size whilst maintaining the bulkiness of it’s packaging! This happened with Rockateur too.

This looks very glowy but natural on you Christine! I might just have to get this one, but I’m slightly put off by the amount of product. This would cost me $51 at Sephora (in my country’s currency) for 0.10 oz while a Becca the shimmering skin perfector pressed is $58 for 0.28 oz. Glad it’s permanent because then I can wait for Sephora’s 20% off sale.

That looks very subtle and pretty, did you use it as an all over face powder? If so, does it work as a luminous setting powder? thanks!

This is pretty, but more reminiscent of the late Georgia than of Dandelion. Not at all what I expected, but lovely nonetheless.

Kjh, as so often happens when I’m struggling to remember a product name or the comparison I want, you have left exactly what I was trying to come up with, thank you. I.O.U. Lol I was going to make a tip of the tongue joke but no matter how I switched around the words it SO DID NOT sound appropriate! ? I could see the box with the peach on it and the flowey writing just not what the writing said…Georgia! Of course! Thanks again I was about to sprain my brain!

Yeesh, that’s a lot of money for so little product!

Kind of weird that they would use almost the same name as their pink Dandelion Blush/Radiance Powder (which I got in their Cheekathon palette, and which I semi-regret every time I open it and the fragrance wafts out … though I do use it quite a bit — love/hate).
