NYX Golden Hour Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches
Golden Hour
NYX Golden Hour Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter ($6.99 for 0.22 fl. oz.) is a bright, sunshine yellow with fine pearl. This was one of the less shimmery shades within the range, though it still offered a noticeable–but subtle–glow on the skin. It had semi-sheer, buildable coverage (to semi-opaque) and was best applied in layers for greater coverage. The highlighter had a watery, thin texture that spread well across the skin, felt cool initially, but dried down after a minute or so. It was easy to work, blend out, and lasted for almost eight hours on me.
The Away We Glow formula is a liquid highlighter that has buildable coverage “from soft to intense.” The brand recommends to “dab and blend” on skin for “irresistible illumination.” There are nine shades available, and the shimmer varied from shade to shade: fine pearl to chunkier sparkle. The formula has a watery, thin feel from the tube, and I liked getting a bit on the back of my hand and then dabbing with fingertips or a stippling brush onto the cheeks and high planes of the face for highlighting. It did dry down after a minute or so, and the wear ranged from seven to eight hours.

This highlight is definitely subtle, but I like it!
Yay!
The initial swatch looks kind of scary yellow, but it looks nice blended out
It was surprisingly wearable for me!
This looks surprisingly soft and pretty applied! I could definitely see it being a nice way to get a softer golden glow than more shimmery highlights. I like it!
Very nice, I bet it’s even prettier on dark skin!
I’m intrigued by this!! It looks super yellow, and it’s subtle, which I’m kinda digging!!!
A little too yellow for my liking but it is nice and affordable!
