MAC Craving (what else is new?), Guerlain Habit Rouge and Shiseido Bloodstone (I think that’s what it’s called). I’ve also been using Guerlain’s Mauve Gloves just because I keep it in my school bag and can swipe it on without a mirror when my lips feel chapped (and I want to use it up – I bought 2 of the Petite Robe Noire lipsticks and I’m not crazy for them and just want to finish them up)

1) I feel embarrassed to admit this on Temptalia but the one lip product I reach for most are the dior lip glows. Pretty subtle on the colour end of the spectrum but while I love lipstick, it’s generally the last thing I throw on in the morning. Or I end up using whatever is in my purse.

2) Charlotte Tilbury B*tch Perfect: to be honest, I love this one and Stoned Rose equally. I love Charlotte Tilbury’s lipsticks, especially the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula. And these two are the perfect pillowy pink nudes.

3) Chanel Rouge Coco Mademoiselle. I love this lipstick, in its old formula and new reiteration. I’ve used it for four years now and it’s just the perfect sophisticated but subtle rosewood shade. Makes me feel more polished.

This is hard for me to say, as I’ve really been about trying a ton of different lip colors this year!

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #19, Fuchsia in Rage, probably gets the most use of any lip color in my stash.

I’ve been using the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche formula a lot, especially Dragonfruit and Lavender Jam.

I’m liking/using my new UD Vice and MUFE lipsticks a lot, too. Most recently, playing with my new MAC and NARS minis and new Givenchy and Shiseido shades, saving my new Smashbox minis for next month.

In terms of colors, I most often wear (in rough order of frequency):

purple-ish pinks
berries and berry reds
purples and lavenders
deep reds
bright cool pinks (those that are not purple-ish)
corals with a lot of pink or red in them
greys
(deep) blues
taupes
bright reds

None of the lip colors I wear are light; they’re all medium to dark, with a few really deep colors. Light colors make me look washed-out at best.

The biggest changes in my wearing of lip colors in the past year are that I’m more willing to wear really dark colors, I’m wearing deep reds much more often than bright reds, and I’m more willing to wear non-traditional lip colors like grey and blue in public.

I still have not figured out how to wear orange, peach, or warm beige lip colors in a way that makes me look good. Still working on it, though!

I thought you would say that colour Christine – that shade really suits all the different looks you have created.

My three shades would be: Milani Colour Statement lipsticks in Cinnamon Spice and Candied Toffee. And a toss up between Clinique’s Peach Pop and Maybelline’s Instyle Sienna – a burgundy -brown shade.

Bite multi stick in Praline. Didn’t realise it was a multi when I bought it and only use it as a lipstick. Love the colour!

Gosh lip shine 006 Magic Monday.. So worried about using this one up. Only bought it in September in Canada and don’t know anywhere I can buy Gosh makeup in Australia.

the nude-y colour from the Sephora Jem and the Holograms liquid lipstick set. I wore it a bunch in the summer, but i don’t do nudes in the fall honey 😉
Also Mac’s Midnight Troll
and Rimmel Kate Moss matte lipstick in 107. it’s a cool red, in a red tube.

Tough to say, as I change up my lip color every day. To be completely honest, it would have to be three tinted lip balms, since that’s what I default to when I can’t decide what to do with my lips, and since I mostly concentrate on my eyes when doing makeup, I’m often rushed and “over it” by the time I do my lips, sooooo …

1. Black Widow balm in Amulet (purple FTW!)
2. Concrete Minerals balm in Bomshell
3. Aromaleigh balm/color creme in Latrodectus mactans

A lot of people have called 2016 “The Year of the Lip” but I’ve decided that 2017 will be that for me. I’m dialing my eye looks back to much simpler, neutral looks and putting all the emphasis on my lips this coming year. I have a dozen matte liquid lipsticks that I’ve barely touched; I’m going to break them out and go to town!

If I was really honest my number one lip pick would be the Rimmel for Kate Moss lip balm since I wear it before I go to bed and before heading out every day and I just finished it so I need to repurchase it. I don’t wear lipstick during the work week since it is impractical and I don’t have time for touch ups/reapply. The question was for lipstick so I went with the three that came to mind and I’m wearing the most on my weekends and days off:)

I decided to take “lip color” literally and include balms that impart color. If I had to name three lipsticks, I couldn’t do it; it’s not that I don’t wear them, but I don’t think I’ve worn the same one twice in the past couple months.

Top 3 most worn this year
1. Too Faced La Creme lipstick in Pink Chocolate/Honey Bear. The old timers are sick of me with the pink chocolate I’m sure lol but it was my purse lipstick for the first half of the year. When it ran out instead of repurchasing like I always do I bought HoneyBear because Christine introduced us and it’s true love!! Now HoneyBear has taken over the last half of the year. They are equal in my heart and that says A LOT about honeybear!
2. Nars Audacious lipstick in Anna. My favorite lipstick. Ever. It’s like they looked into my brain and created my idea of the perfect lipstick shade. I’m still wearing it as often as I did the first year.
3. Nars Audacious lipstick in Vanessa. Unfortunately, this is one of the shades exclusive to Barney’s and Nars. I feel like it deserves a wider audience, it’s just SO GOOD. Granted it sits right between Anita and Barbara but it’s got ….almost a coolness (?) …that makes it super unique. I love it and when I don’t want to think about what lipstick to wear Vanessa always has my back.

Wet ‘n Wild’s Blind Date (I think that’s what it’s called) is the perfect muted fuschia-berry that’s so easy to slap on bc it’s pretty sheer but layerable and goes with a lot of stuff. That’s pretty much it bc I don’t wear lipstick much.

A question I can’t answer. I have a lot of lipsticks and hardly ever wear the same two days in a row. I have however used the same lipgloss every morning for the first doggy walk of the day. It’s one from Origins, and it’s so well used I have no idea what it’s called. It’s very soothing and moisturising with just a hint of colour, purply-pink.

Ooh… well, my #1 for sure is Dior Addict in City Lights (612?)… it’s my “purse lipstick”!! I don’t know how, because it doesn’t look like it should be, but somehow it is a MLBB shade + a little shimmer and shine for me! I don’t even like Dior all that much lately, but this shade is perfection for me!!
For two and three… hm, maybe Nars Falbala… and Chanel Récit. Yeah, that’s my final answer, with a bit of TF So Vain mixed in! 🙂
