This is so beautiful I would be afraid to use it!
(also not the first time I’ve bought something from Chanel and left it untouched so as not to ruin the embossing hahah)
You would need to. There’s a lot of overspray on this. A Model Recommends used hers in a video and it ruined the effect, but also looks different without the spray.
Oh my goodness… This is simply too pretty!
I just saw some swatches on youtube and they were SO light, like hardly there color, just some shimmer. So indeed: pretty to look at, but not to use.
This looks so lovely…..but the price…ouch!
I can’t imagine how to use this, how to navigate between the many shades each with so little surface area. Moot though, as it’s beyond my budget.
I agree with you 100%!
I was oohing and aaahing over the embossing and gold shadows until I saw the price tag 🙁
Silverkis has swatches and a giveaway. Chanel’s website suggests combining 2 bands together and has face charts to illustrate. I saw a tester posted on Instagram and the compact looked, well, less than stunning when the embossing disappears.
$105 for a palette with a lot of gold overspray and no pan separation between the colors, so they all end up being smooshed together? I feel insulted. I guess this only seems outrageous to me because I don’t collect makeup, I buy it to wear.
Wow! If only all my makeup looked this pretty…and could stay this pretty after use.
I’m thinking it comes with those brushes and that’s why it is more than usual Chanel price?? Maybe?
Gasp! So beautiful!
That is a work of art. And there it will stay. 🙂
All I can say is; WOW.
Looks like a Empriente du Desert redux, except waaay more expensive, and far too pretty to use.
It looks pretty in the packaging, but the strips of colors are so thin, I’d think it would be hard to use. I wonder how much of that gold is overspray.
I don’t like the colours, and I personally wouldn’t be able to use it with the design like that!! Pass for me!!
Same chain reaction as others here — 1) gorgeous 2) but, um, does it actually work well like that? 3) wha? on that price.
I find it kind of annoying that the new thing seems to be seeing just how high a price point you can put on palettes. It’s been a race to the top lately — but more so in price than in some kind of breakthrough in quality. I have no problem with luxury makeup when it is worth it (and sometimes it really is), but at $105 this better be something really special, and not just mashed together neutrals with a layer of gold overspray. Curious to see what it looks like on the eyes for sure!
It looks pretty but I wonder how much is overspray. Also, has any blogger actually swatched this yet? I feel that everyone is too afraid to ruin the pattern. If there are only three shades, then which are they? Why couldn’t they have used this powder mould thing on a highlighter or something instead that would be easier to use?
This looks so beautiful and the shades are divine.
I’ve seen some beauty bloggers I follow on instagram post some pics of this product already bc they were prob given it to review. But I will not be buying this item after I saw this Chinese youtube beauty blogger attempting to swatch it. The video is in Mandarin, but I have a very poor grasp on Mandarin. However, you don’t need to understand what she’s saying to see how poorly the product actually swatches.
Def. not worth the price tag, even if it may look gorgeous in the pan.
I’m not a collector of makeup and of Chanel. I use my makeup, all the way down to the pan, ’till there’s nothing left. I’ve seen a few swatches of this and I will definitely pass. Where are the other “pieces” that go with this makeup look? I was at my local Chanel counter and I left with nothing! I really only had a choice of their holiday collection. Their selection of colors is really lacking. They’ve discontinued everything that I like. Every time I’m at the counter, the sales associate says wait, new things arrive in a month or so. I’m tired of waiting. I miss the “old Chanel”! Xo
This is absolutely beautiful but that PRICE. Yikes. Might be wise to not look at this in person as I fear I wouldn’t be able to resist it!
It’s not for me but I’m sure it will be well loved!
