Sneak Peek: The Estee Edit Gritty & Glow Palettes Photos & Swatches

The Estee Edit Gritty & Glow Palettes
The Estee Edit Gritty & Glow Palettes

The Estee Edit Gritty & Glow Palette ($58.00 for 1.62 oz.) includes two palettes, one for eyes and one for face. I happened to see this pop online a few days ago, and the eyeshadow palette reminded me a lot of the Estee Lauder x Victoria Beckham Eye Palette, so I had to pick it up to see whether that was true (not so much). Here are swatches!

These swatches are really impressive again! I don’t mind the fact that there are no mattes. Pair it with a Naked Basics palette (or similar) and the posibilities are endless.

Oh my goodness, that eye shadow palette totally reminds you of the Victoria Beckham one! Very similar color combo, at least in the pan. Curious why it’s called a “gritty” shadow kit, doesn’t sound like a good choice of words, I’m wincing at the thought of scratched corneas. Even the name “gritty and glow palette” reminds me of the grungy, “sooty”, “sweaty skin” look of the Beckham collection. And that Gleam highlighter looks like a pinker version of Modern Mercury. Verrrry interesting…..

I put this in my cart the other day but wanted to see whether you were going to review it first. Oh my gosh, you’re swatches though! I liked the fact that the shades were separated. I think this may be one I’ll plan on getting. Thanks for getting these swatches up so soon after it released!

“Gritty” is definitely an interesting name for an eyeshadow palette, haha. Doesn’t drum up the most amazing visuals in my mind. Glad the swatches look promising!

Those highlighters are intense! At first I thought they were eyeshadows… I actually think I’d like them better as eyeshadows!

The swatches from Gritty sure look great. Once again, though, not my colors 🙁 But so pretty!

Noticed this, too. Very affordable and the amounts are small…double edged sword. Fall in love, and you might be ool with getting replacement singles. But for those who never finish things….great. Quality seems good; have not been overly impressed with the edit thus far. This is a massively good idea, due to the popularity, sourcing and price issues with VB. Brilliant, EL. And nice step towards shedding the stodgy image, which was clearly the idea behind the edit (and the Jennerism). Marieke is spot on, and who doesn’t have an NB or similar, just for this purpose? And yes, gritty is an odd choice of name…the connotations are painful. My only other association to ‘gritty’ is vaguely disturbing tv docs and crime stories. Personally, might have preferred ‘edgy.’ Is edgy already taken? IDK what the acronym FDSA means. This would be a great way to build an instant warm highlighter/highlit blush wardrobe.

Oh geez, talk about compete against yourself Estee Lauder 🙂
Looks like the popularity of the VB collection had them pump out a quick dupe for just over a third of the cost of the original.

Interesting – I really hate that they are only selling these as a set, though! I would never use the eye palette but I love the face palette 🙁 I am curious though – if they are the same size (eye vs. face), can face brushes fit in the pans?

Would love to see the ingredients. I swatched it in store and it felt nice but the way the package was, I couldn’t see all the ingredients. Thank you!

Impressive! Can’t wait for the review!
I wonder why Estee Lauder released a palette do similar to Victoria B. one…
Actually think I prefer both oh these. Very pretty.

Yes, quite similar to the EL x VB palette in terms of shades, except that the light and medium beige are replaced by copper and pink, so I don’t like the overall color combo as much. It will be interesting to see how the formula compares in your future review!

Omg just when I had told myself to stop buying for the remainder of the year. This is gonna have to come with me too it’s too pretty and I think it’s a good deal too.

Some pretty colors. I think some of the highlight colors could be used as shadows too. As another poster said, if combined with a matte palette, the possibilities are endless!

Sorry I was looking for a pic of the palette so that I could identify it in a store etc.- there’s a pic of one palette and you mention that there are 2. I can see all of the swatches. I found it on google though, no problem. 🙂
