Topaz

Jouer Topaz Powder Highlighter ($24.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a light-medium, rosy copper with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. This is a more typical highlighting color, and it should work well on many skin tones, particularly medium and deeper complexions.

According to the brand, it’s supposed to be a “creamy, powder formula” that is “long-wearing, highly pigmented” and gives a “lit-from-within glow.” The texture was incredibly smooth, finely-milled, and soft without feeling loose or powdery in the pan. It had rich, opaque color payoff–a little went a long way–that blended easily on the skin and did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture or the look of my pores. The highlighter started to fade after eight and a half hours of wear.

Formula Overview

$24.00/0.16 oz. - $150.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be "long-wearing, highly pigmented" and have a "radiant finish." They are semi-opaque to opaque typically with a denser, creamier consistency that doesn't have any powderiness or dustiness to it. The powders apply well to bare skin, blended out easily, and tend to have a stronger, metallic sheen--definitely a more intense highlighter. They lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

The shimmery finish is really beautiful! I’ve heard good things about Jouer, wish they were in more stores, so I can swatch and play with products

Looks delightful on you. Semi off-topic: I was wondering if anyone had tried either of the Jouer face bases, the matte or the illuminating? I was cruising Jouer yesterday on Beautylish, and thought the ingredient list sounded good. I’m not sure of any b&m stores with Jouer, either, even online. Will google. Boo, no Canada. I thought Beautylish shipped to Canada. Maybe as the brand expands, they will venture into the great white north. Hope so.

For anyone interested in purchasing these, her pictures of the product in the pan are very accurate! But when swatches, Topaz is a peachy pink bronze color that works better as a blush topper for those in the light to light-medium range. Rose quartz is not too light or dark for those in that same shade range. Overall, these highlighters have a very strong sheen that’s even more intense than the Becca highlighters! I wish I had tried Citrine but there are so many white-gold highlighters on the market already :/
