What happened to “This collection will go FAST. And once these shades are gone, they’re gone for good. (You’ve been warned!)”?!!! So basically Roach is out of stock on the brand website but it’s not really out of stock?
Someone should start a color cosmetics brand with transparency in manufacturing and advertisement. Kind of a make up with no games. Some like the hype and the thrill of the chase. Me, not so much. The crazy frenzy leads to manufacturing error and customer frustration. And to mistrust/distrust of brands. Hope I have a well preserved old roach, ‘cuz I won’t play!

Right?? I wasn’t sure if these would make their way to Sephora or Ulta, so I ordered them from UD. The UD website was wonky the first morning of launch due to demand, but I was able to get in later. I ordered Pallor, Plague, and Smog and I had earned enough UD reward points to get $10 off (about 20% discount) so was pretty pleased about that.
The lipsticks are part of their full holiday launch and will be at all retailers – the eyeshadows/polishes are UD exclusives.
I love UD but this has made me unhappy. I don’t like the false frenzy it created for me and others trying to get in on the release before it sells out (since pretty much everyone outside the biz believed these were not only limited but also exclusive to UD and many of us remember the disastrous releases of years past). Like Katherine, I also collected points and get a discount but that’s not really the point. All that said, I’m probably going to pick up 2 more that I didn’t buy when they release (again).
Oh yes we do, as in last year’s Spectrum Palette….and the year before, the LTD Vice Palette. The games made for extreme levels of frustration and aggravation. Left me with a bad taste in my mouth towards UD holiday releases.
Is Sephora going to have the nail polishes too?
The polishes and eyeshadows are exclusive to UD’s website.

Pallor, Bruise and Smog (or Roach, depending on how either/ or look on me). Glad that these will be available instore so I can try them on to see which, if any look good on me. But I DEFINITELY agree with Michelle and others ^^^ about all the crazy false hype per the usual UD holiday collection. It just leaves me sour and distrustful towards UD holiday releases.
I was so excited when I learned about the Vintage lipsticks. I loved this stuff back in day. But, I’m feeling a bit disappointed in the release. Bruise is totally wrong. It’s not even close to the original, which was my favorite. Smog seems different, also. Actually, the original color was not as pretty as the new one, it was weird and hard to wear as I recall. But, it was Smog–smog isn’t pretty!
I know somewhere, I have some of these old colors–I really want to dig them out now, so I can kvetch about it some more! : )
I ordered UV-B right away. I’m considering Roach and/or Smog, but I’m not completely sure.
I will look at the naked ultimate basic shadows when they come out but other than that, probably not interested.
